Pioneer Grocery in Rogersville robbed at gunpoint
State police are investigating an armed robbery at Carlisle’s Pioneer Grocery in Rogersville that occurred just before 10 p.m. Monday
Two men wearing grey masks entered the store at 3267 W. Roy Furman Highway and pointed handguns at a clerk, police said.
They were able to get an undisclosed amount of money from a lottery machine and the store’s cash register.
Both suspects were wearing gloves. One man was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and the other a camouflage hoodie. No other physical descriptions of the suspects were immediately available.
Store owner Ken Carlisle posted surveillance footage of the incident on the store’s Facebook page and offered a $5,000 reward to anyone for information that leads to an arrest.
“Our store was robbed at gunpoint Monday night just before 10 pm. They drove a very loud 4-door car. $5000 reward for info that leads to arrest,” he posted. “That loud 4 door car won’t be hard to find. They got out on Cherry Alley and walked down.”
