CANONSBURG

Assault arrest: James Hargrove, 19, of 142 E. Pitt St., Canonsburg, was arrested Tuesday by Canonsburg police on charges of simple assault and harassment after he allegedly struck his 22-year-old girlfriend in the back during a confrontation at their home. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.

Theft charge: William T. Alexander, 54, of 211 Beachview Drive, Houston, was charged this week by Canonsburg police with theft after he allegedly stole $30 from a woman at Shop ‘n Save, 617 W. Pike St., Jan. 31. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Charged in stop: Melissa Lynn Schultz, 32, of 32 Gladden Road, Canonsburg, was charged this week by Canonsburg police with possession of heroin and paraphernalia stemming from an Aug. 4 traffic stop at Hutchison Avenue and West Pike Street. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

CANTON

Two charged: Eric M. Yanov, 34, and Melissa Ann Behanna, 35, both of 362 S. Johnston Road, Bentleyville, were charged this week by state police with disorderly conduct and possession of paraphernalia stemming from a Feb. 1 traffic stop in the 1200 block of West Chestnut St., Canton. Yanov also was charged with traffic violations. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

DUI, harassment charges: Tabetha Olson, 33, of 78 Hawkins St., Canton, was charged last week by state police with driving under the influence of alcohol, harassment and careless driving. She is accused of being involved in a domestic dispute at her home and then getting her vehicle stuck in mud in the yard. Police said she was intoxicated. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

ELLSWORTH

Assault alleged: Frederick William Markovitz IV, 34, of 24 Walnut St., Ellsworth, is charged by state police with simple assault and harassment over allegations he struck Haeleah Anderson in the head and hit her head against a concrete wall at his residence about 9:30 a.m. Saturday, court records show. Markovitz is free on $5,000 bond set by District Judge Joshua Kanalis.

Woman charged: Regina Marie Musta, 41, of 77 Beeson Ave., Marianna, is charged by state police with possessing an instrument of a crime, simple assault, reckless endangerment, harassment and disorderly conduct, court records show. Police accuse Musta of pointing a revolver at Ronald White Jr. during a fight outside of a bar in the 100 block of Main Street about 2 a.m. Friday. Police filed the charges before District Judge Curtis Thompson.

SOMERSET

Warrant signed: Daryl Louis Shriner, 49, of 401 Woodward Ave., North Charleroi, is charged by state police with identity theft and theft over accusations he never paid a $347 Comcast bill from an account he set up in the name of his ex-wife, who lives in Somerset Township, while he lived in Peters Township from May 30, 2014, until July 10, 2015. District Judge Curtis Thompson signed a warrant Friday for Shriner’s arrest.

SOUTH STRABANE

Vehicle damaged: Richard Krehel of Deerfield Road, Washington, told South Strabane police Tuesday that his vehicle was scratched by vandals while in the lot at Giant Eagle, Strabane Square.

Warrant arrest: Kalsey Yeager, 24, of Pittsburgh, was taken into custody Tuesday at Greenbriar Treatment Center on bench warrants from Allegheny County. She was placed in Washington County jail pending her transfer to Allegheny County.

WASHINGTON

Officer assault alleged: Helen Jordan, 46, of 120 Church St., Washington, was arrested Tuesday afternoon by Washington police after she allegedly kicked an officer taking her into custody on disorderly conduct charges. Police were called after she allegedly spit at another resident of her apartment building. When police arrived, they said they found her hanging out of a window, topless, yelling profanities. When the officer tried to take her into custody, she allegedly kicked him several times. She was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, and was placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond. Jordan also was charged with harassment. Police were called to the apartments earlier after she allegedly got into a confrontation with another resident.

Phone stolen: John Glass of Redstone Lane told Washington police Tuesday his iPhone was stolen from his jacket while he was at May’rz Inn, 165 S. Main St., Feb. 2. The owner of the business was able to get a still photo of a suspect.

WEST FINLEY

Threats, harassment charges: Christopher Aaron Clutter Sr., 28, of 31 Slemmons Road, was arrested Tuesday afternoon by state police at his West Finley Township home after a domestic dispute. A 25-year-old woman told police she was in the home and Clutter was trying to load a rifle. Police were able to remove Clutter, who allegedly told police he had them in his sights. Clutter also allegedly got out of the police cruiser to go after the woman, but was caught. He then allegedly tried to head butt and kick officers. Clutter was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, resisting arrest, escape and harassment. He was placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
