CALIFORNIA
False reports to police: A Coal Center woman is facing charges of false reports to law enforcement and disorderly conduct after allegedly telling police she was robbed in January. Angel Ziemba, 26, told California Borough police she was robbed at gunpoint Jan. 12 in the 300 block of Strawberry Way. She said an unknown black male stole $15 from her. Police later discovered Ziemba knew the alleged robber and she was trying to conceal she was allegedly attempting to purchase marijuana from the man who took her money, according to a public information release from the department. Torri Brown, 25, of California, was identified as the alleged robber and charged with robbery, terroristic threats and disorderly conduct, according to the release.

Two-vehicle crash: No one was hurt when a truck slid into another truck Saturday. Neil R. Price, 38, of Smock, was driving in the left lane of Interstate 70 westbound at about 4:41 p.m. with David T. Grear, 49, of Zanesville, Ohio, in the right lane near exit 11. Price began to spin, and slid into the right lane, hitting Grear. Both trucks came to rest on the right side of the road. Grear, Price and Price’s passenger, Tonya L. Yeager, 34, of Carmichaels, were uninjured.

Single-vehicle crash: A car flipped Saturday on Interstate 70. Kristen M. Davis, 36, address unavailable, was traveling west on Interstate 70 in the right lane near mile marker 13.5 at 4:39 p.m. While attempting to merge into the left lane, Davis lost control of the vehicle and drove off the road. Davis hit the embankment and started to spin. The vehicle went airborne as it continued up the embankment and flipped. Davis and her passenger, Jeffrey P. McCormick, 38, of Pittsburgh, were not injured.
