CALIFORNIA
False ID, drug charges: Rayven Laverne Still, 19, of Homestead, was charged Monday by California police with possession of drug paraphernalia, false identification to police and disorderly conduct stemming from a Dec. 31 traffic stop in the 100 block of Wood Street. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
Harassment alleged: Trevor Gentry, 48, and David W. Neil, 61, both of California, were charged Friday by California police with harassment after they reportedly got into a physical altercation Jan. 2 in the lobby of Liberty Towers. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
CARROLL
Arraigned on theft charge: Michael Amati, 37, of Country Club Road, Monongahela, was arraigned Monday on a warrant obtained by Carroll police charging him with theft and receiving stolen property. He is accused of stealing a riding lawn tractor July 18 from a home at 19 Donora Road. He was placed in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Assault alleged: Charlie Cecil Miles, 19, of 1355 Paradise Ave., Washington Township, Fayette County, is charged by Carroll police with simple assault and harassment over allegations he struck a 17-year-old girl in the face about 11:40 a.m. Jan. 3 at 417 Coyle Curtain Road, court records show. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the charges Friday in a summons.
NORTH FRANKLIN
Assault charges: Brandon William Wilkins, 28, of 125 Bellvue Ave., North Franklin, was charged by township police with two counts of simple assault and harassment and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia after he allegedly assaulted his mother and brother during a confrontation at their home Thursday night. He is accused of hitting his brother in the face and ear and hitting his mother on the face and hand when she tried to separate her sons. The charges were filed at the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
NORTH STRABANE
One injured: Sasha Nunez, 18, of Pittsburgh, was injured in a two-vehicle crash about 5:30 p.m. Friday on McClelland Road at the off ramp from Interstate 79 southbound, North Strabane police said. She was a passenger in a car driven by Michael Schmitz, 34, of 312 Squire Lane, McMurray. Police said Schmitz made a left turn from the ramp into the path of a vehicle driven by Sonya Patterson, 36, of 445 Adams Ave., Canonsburg. Nunez was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment of head and arm injuries.
ROSTRAVER
Theft alleged: Robert Erin Jones, 46, of 327 Route 906, Rostraver Township, is charged by township police with deceptive business practices, home improvement fraud and theft, court records show. Police accuse Jones of accepting $1,500 from a 78-year-old resident of the 1200 block of Route 201 in January and February 2017 to perform lawn maintenance, but failing to complete the work by November. The woman said she contacted police after noticing in the media that Jones faced numerous similar accusations in the Mon Valley. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges by summons Monday.
Man charged: Richard C. Schranb, 46, of 830 Walnut St., Donora, is charged by township police with theft and receiving stolen property over allegations he rented a hardwood flooring nailing kit worth $960 from Equipment Connection, 1006 Tyrol Boulevard, on Oct. 3 and never returned it to the business. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges Monday in a summons.
Theft alleged: Melissa Mosley, 31, of 225 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, is charged by township police with theft and receiving stolen property over allegations she rented living room furniture worth $3,120 from Prime Rentals, 691 Tyrol Boulevard, on Aug. 19 and failed to make all of the payments or return the items, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges Monday in a summons.
SOUTH STRABANE
Two arrested: Erron Lee Jenkins, 21, of Pittsburgh, and Amber Marie Pople, 25, of 295 Donnan Ave., Washington, were arrested Sunday by South Strabane police on drug charges. Police were called to Walmart, Trinity Point, for a report of a woman possibly using heroin in a restroom. Police also received a report of a drug transaction and got a description of the man involved. Police stopped Jenkins as he left the store. Pople also was taken into custody. Police said Jenkins was found with suspected heroin. Pople allegedly received heroin in exchange for driving Jenkins to the store. Both were arraigned before District Judge David Mark on charges of possession of heroin and conspiracy. Jenkins also was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin. Both were placed in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bonds.
One injured: Nathan W. Bird, 18, of 386 Lagonda Road, Washington, was injured when his vehicle collided Friday afternoon with a vehicle driven by Donald W. Hoefler, 60, of 36 Crossroads Road, Washington. South Strabane police said Bird was driving east in the 100 block of Cameron Road at an apparent high speed when he failed to negotiate a curve. Hoefler tried to swerve to the right but was struck head-on by Bird’s vehicle, police said.
WASHINGTON
Woman assaulted: Sandra Conklin, 62, of Washington, told Washington police Sunday night that she was assaulted in her North College Street apartment by her former boyfriend. She told police that he had brought her a bag containing her belongings, then would not let her shut the door. He reportedly put her in a headlock before punching her several times. She told police he also choked her, causing her to lose consciousness. He was gone when police arrived. Charges are pending.
Fraudulent check: Richard A. Edwards III of Washington told Washington police Saturday that he was sent a fraudulent check for $3,100 by a woman who told him it was sent from her attorney. When he tried to deposit the check, he was told it was fraudulent.
Car stolen: Joshua Daugherty of 1025 Fayette St. told Washington police Friday that his silver 2003 Volkswagen Passat was stolen from outside his home. He told police that he started the vehicle to warm it up and went back inside his home. When he looked out, the car was gone.
Ground bar stolen: An employee of AT&T told Washington police Friday that a steel ground bar was stolen from the company’s tower at the Stone Pavilion in Washington Park.
