BENTLEYVILLE
PFA violation alleged: Dominic Carter-Sellers, 23, of 527 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, was arrested Friday by state police after he allegedly violated a protection-from-abuse order obtained by a Bentleyville woman. He reportedly called her and sent several text messages. Carter-Sellers was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and released from Washington County jail after posting $5,000 bond.
Man wanted: Joseph Charles Baughman, 34, of 1410 Sheridan Ave., Brownsville, is charged by borough police with identity theft, forgery and theft, court records show. Police accuse him of receiving credit under an assumed identity Dec. 9 at Auto Zone, 107 Wilson Road, and using it to make $789 in purchases. District Judge Curtis Thompson signed a warrant Monday for Baughman’s arrest.
CANONSBURG
Gun stolen: Daniel Allen of 521 Blaine Ave. told Canonsburg police Friday a .38-caliber snub-nose handgun was stolen from a cabinet in his home.
CHARLEROI
Paraphernalia arrest: Marquise Dempsey, 21, of 1022 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, was arraigned Friday on a warrant obtained by Charleroi Regional police charging him with possession of paraphernalia. Police were called Nov. 14 for a report of him panhandling outside 500 McKean Ave. He was placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond set by District Judge David Mark.
CHARTIERS
Card information stolen: Joyce Yanchak of Chartiers told township police Monday information from her credit card was used to withdraw money at automated teller machines in Murrysville, as well as at locations in Ohio and Georgia.
EAST FINLEY
Drug, assault arrest: Ray Michael Clutter, 40, of 300 Rock Hollow Road, Claysville, was arrested Saturday by state police after he allegedly assaulted a woman inside his East Finley home over a period of several days. Police said they also found suspected marijuana and paraphernalia. Clutter was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on charges of simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. He was released from Washington County jail after posting $25,000 bond.
MARIANNA
Assault arrest: Timothy Burnsworth, 42, of 500 Fourth St., Marianna, was arrested Sunday by state police on charges of simple assault and harassment after he allegedly hit a woman in the mouth during a confrontation at his home. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and released from Washington County jail after posting $5,000 bond.
MONESSEN
Firearms charges: David Craigway, 61, of 532 Rostraver St., Monessen, is charged by city police with illegal possession of a firearm, receiving stolen property and disorderly conduct stemming from allegations he possessed a stolen handgun as a convicted felon during a disturbance at his residence about 3:10 p.m. Monday, court records show. He is free on $5,000 unsecured bond set by District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.
NORTH STRABANE
Slot machine damaged: Sean Bush, 51, of 1300 Terrace St., Bridgeville, was charged Friday by state police with criminal mischief and tampering with evidence after he allegedly damaged a slot machine at The Meadows Casino Dec. 18. He allegedly hit the machine 19 times during a period of several hours, doing $1,154.75 in damage. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Marijuana charges: Frank J. Vorhes, 26, of 138 Main St., Claysville, was charged last week by North Strabane police with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and not having insurance in connection with a Nov. 28 incident at the park-and-ride lot at Routes 19 and 519. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
SOUTH STRABANE
Driver hurt: Markell Alston, 40, of Jeannette, was taken to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital after an accident Thursday afternoon. State police said he slowed his vehicle on Interstate 79 north and attempted to turn into the median. His vehicle was hit by a vehicle driven by Jacob Pierson, 19, of Wheeling, W.Va., which was traveling behind him, state police said. Alston’s car then spun into the median. Pierson was not hurt.
Firearms violation alleged: Shane Evans, 22, of 1210 Route 40, Washington, was charged last week by South Strabane police with carrying a firearm without a license, harassment and driving under the influence of alcohol stemming from a Dec. 7 incident in the 900 block of Locust Avenue. Police said his blood-alcohol content was almost double the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
WASHINGTON
False alarms reported: Bertram Mitchell, 61, of 473 E. Maiden St. will be charged with two counts of failure to control alarms after Washington police said they responded to two false alarms at his home last week within a span of about 30 minutes. Police said they have responded to 42 alarms at his home in the past 12 months.
