A months-long investigation ended with a drug bust in Houston Friday morning and a state parolee in jail.
According to a news release issued by Washington County District Attorney Eugene Vittone, detectives with the county’s Drug Task Force and Washington Regional SWAT executed a search warrant at 22 S. Main St., Apt. 2, early Friday and found 436 stamp bags of heroin. Vittone said they also found marijuana, cash and paraphernalia associated with heroin distribution.
Vittone said in the release the detectives spent several months investigating the trafficking of heroin from the apartment, which was being used by the parolee, Omar Jamal Gilmore, 28, of Pittsburgh.

Gilmore, who is on state parole, was detained on a warrant issued by that agency. Felony drug charges will be filed against Gilmore once the evidence seized in the search has been processed, Vittone said.
Also assisting with the search were state police, Washington County sheriff’s deputies and the Washington police dog unit.
