A Waynesburg man was charged earlier this month with sexually assaulting a boy at his borough apartment nearly seven years ago.

The arrest warrant for Robert Scott Husner, 38, of 52 W. Greene St., was filed by borough police Jan. 2 and accuses him of raping the 12-year-old boy in Husner’s bedroom in June 2011.

Police said the boy told an unidentified person several years later. The accuser was interviewed Dec. 14 at Washington Hospital and spoke to borough police Chief Rob Toth a week later.

Husner denied the allegations when contacted by Toth, according to court documents, and asked to speak to an attorney. Investigators did not say when they attempted to interview Husner.

Police charged Husner with two felony counts each of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and sexual assault.

Husner still had not been arraigned on the charges as of Monday. No attorney is listed for him in court documents.
