1 min read

MONESSEN – A Donora man waived his charges, which include attempted homicide, to Westmoreland County Court and avoided a preliminary hearing in the case Friday.

Dwight A. Moore Jr., 20, of 464 Fourth St., waived his case before District Judge Joseph Dalfonso, online court records show.

Moore was accused of shooting Juwan Mull with a .380-caliber semi-automatic handgun in the lower back about 11 p.m. Oct. 26 in the 900 block of Locust Street in Monessen. Mull, 24, told police he and Moore were involved in “trash talking” on social media before he was shot.

Moore also allegedly attempted to have a acquaintance of his who lives on Locust Street turn over her surveillance cameras to him to prevent Monessen police from viewing the videos.

He also was charged in the case with reckless endangerment, aggravated assault, carrying a firearm without a license and possessing an instrument of a crime. He is free on $75,000 bond.
