FRANKLIN
Fleeing charges: Tyron Terreono Adams, 23, of Grosse Pointe, Mich., was charged with possessing a small amount of marijuana, fleeing police, providing false identification to law enforcement, driving without a license and speeding after state police said he was driving faster than 95 mph on Interstate 79 north just south of the Waynesburg exit about 9 p.m. Friday. Police said Adams exited the interstate and drove west on Route 21. After turning around at Route 188, other officers were able to pull in front of Adams, forcing him to stop. Police said they found a small amount of suspected marijuana in the back of the front passenger seat. District Judge Dave Balint arraigned Adams and he is being held at the Greene County jail on $125,000 bond.

Assault charges: Richard Wilson Vanscoter, 26, of 18 Hilltop Trailer Park, Greensboro, was charged Monday with terroristic threats, simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief. State police were called to a business on Route 88 just before 10 p.m. on Jan. 9. Nicholas Bezjak told police he was at Vanscoter’s residence, and as he was leaving, Vanscoter slashed a tire on his vehicle. Bezjak said Vanscoter then broke the driver’s side window of his vehicle and punched him about 10 times in the face, police said. Vanscoter also allegedly held a knife to Bezjak’s throat before walking back to his home, according to court documents.
