CALIFORNIA

Assault arrest: Elijah Joshua Sellers, 19, of Pittsburgh, was arrested early Friday by California police on charges of simple assault and harassment after he allegedly punched a woman in the head during a party at the Acadia fraternity house, 646 Park St. He was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and placed in Washington County jail on $15,000 bond.

MT. PLEASANT

Arrested in threats: Shea Michael Carroll, 20, of 216 Indian Camp Road, Avella, was arrested on a warrant Thursday by Mt. Pleasant police in Jefferson Township. Carroll is charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment for allegedly threatening a 21-year-old man through Snapchat messages earlier that day. Carroll was taken into custody with assistance from Smith and Jefferson Township police and Washington County sheriff’s deputies. He was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Assault charges: Nathaniel Jacob Eisel, 21, of 108 1/2 W. Wylie Ave., Washington, was taken into custody Thursday by Mt. Pleasant police on an adult probation detainer as he walked on Henderson Road. Eisel was charged by township police with aggravated assault, strangulation, simple assault and terroristic threats after he allegedly assaulted a 21-year-old woman inside a Hickory home Sunday night. He was placed in Washington County jail on the detainer. 

SOUTH STRABANE

Vehicle hits woman: South Strabane police are looking for the woman who was driving a red sport utility vehicle that struck a Washington woman in the parking lot of Giant Eagle, Strabane Square, about 1 p.m. Thursday. Allison Winters had just finished putting her 2-year-old daughter in her car seat when she was clipped and knocked over by the vehicle as it pulled through a parking space and continued without stopping. Winters was knocked to the ground. The driver is white, in her 30s or 40s, with blonde, shoulder-length curly hair. Anyone who might have seen the incident or has information is asked to call police at 724-225-8111.

Road rage reported: A Pittsburgh woman told South Strabane police Thursday she was involved in a road rage incident on Tanger Boulevard with a man driving what she described as a white “monster truck.” When she returned from shopping, a hubcap had been stolen from her vehicle.

WASHINGTON

Assault alleged: Russell Randolph Boyda, 32, of 154 N. College St., Washington, was charged Friday by city police with strangulation, simple assault and harassment. He is accused of putting his hands around the neck of his ex-girlfriend and choking her during a confrontation at her apartment at Washington Arbors, 154 N. College, Jan. 7. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Drug charges: Cara Andrews, 27, of 306 E. Maiden St., Washington, was charged Friday by Washington police with possession of crack, Suboxone and marijuana, along with vehicle violations, stemming from a Jan. 17 traffic stop at Hallam and Shirls avenues. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
