Woman charged: Charleroi Regional police charged Maria N. Stringhill, 25, of South Greensburg on Saturday with unauthorized use of a vehicle and use/possession of drug paraphernalia. Maria had allegedly borrowed her mother’s pickup truck a few days earlier but didn’t return it, according to court records. An officer found the truck near Lookout Avenue and Fifth Street. A metal spoon and at least four stamp bags, some of which were marked “killing season,” were allegedly inside the vehicle. Stringhill was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and is in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

DUI charge charge: Township police charged David M. Choeky, 56, of Parma, Ohio, with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, drug possession, running a red light and driving without proof of insurance Sunday stopping him about 10:30 a.m. near Route 18 and Steubenville Pike. Police said in court papers Choeky reportedly showed signs of intoxication, and allegedly produced two pills of the opioid painkiller tramadol when asked to turn out his pockets. He allegedly admitted to taking two of the pills at 6 a.m. He was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and is free on $25,000 unsecured bond.
