CALIFORNIA

Two charged: Kimberly Ann Detemple, 56, and Chaim Yaac Lichtenstein, 36, both of California, were charged Friday by California police with harassment and disorderly conduct after they reportedly got into a physical confrontation Jan. 9 at California Manor Apartments, 243 Second St. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.

CANONSBURG

One injured: Valerie Liadis of Grace Avenue, Canonsburg, was injured Saturday in a three-vehicle crash at North Central Avenue and West College Street. Canonsburg police identified the other drivers as Cindy Spalla of East Pitt Street, Canonsburg, and Melissa Hoff of Valley View Terrace, Canonsburg.

CANTON

Driver arraigned: John Robert McFall Jr., 40, of 114 Hamilton St., North Franklin Township, was arraigned Friday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and cocaine, and not having a license. The charges were filed by state police in connection with a Dec. 16 crash in the 600 block of West Wylie Avenue, Canton. Police said McFall’s blood-alcohol content was almost four times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. District Judge David Mark set bond at $5,000 on McFall, who also is in Washington County jail on a detainer.

CHARLEROI

Theft alleged: Samuel Thornton, 60, of 565 Highland Ave., North Charleroi, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with theft and receiving stolen property over allegations he stole a wallet about 1:40 p.m. Jan. 2 from a customer in Dollar General, 514 Fallowfield Ave., court records show. Thornton was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set Monday by District Judge Larry Hopkins. He also was being held on unrelated charges.

Pair charged: Peri Lero Youngblood II, 25, of 915 McKean Ave., Charleroi, and Amber Christine Paulson, 25, of 504 Seventh St., Charleroi, are charged by Charleroi Regional police with theft and receiving stolen property, court records show. Police accuse them of either exchanging stolen merchandise or attempting to exchange the merchandise for gift cards about 5:30 p.m. Jan. 16 at Rite Aid, 501 McKean Ave. The charges will proceed by summons from the office of District Judge Larry Hopkins.

CHARTIERS

Possession, DUI charges: Kelly A. Sell, 40, of Pittsburgh, was charged Friday by state police with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia, driving under the influence of a controlled substance and traffic violations in connection with an Oct. 1 traffic stop near Sulky Manor Lane and Allison Hollow Road, Chartiers. Police said Sell had amphetamines and marijuana in her system. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

MONESSEN

Man charged: Donald Kremer Jr., 42, of 204 Wood St., Belle Vernon, is charged by city police with possession of two stamp bags of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a traffic stop about 1:15 p.m. Thursday at Eighth Street and Donner Avenue, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges Monday in a summons.

Pair charged: Branden Andrew Barish, 25, of Oakdale, is charged by city police with possession of one stamp bag of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia, and Bridget M. Meister, 41, of 602 Park Manor Road, Monessen, is facing a charge of illegal possession of six doses of Adderall, court records show. The charges stem from a traffic stop about 4 p.m. Thursday in the 900 block of Summit Avenue. The charges will proceed by summons from the office of District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.

Woman charged: Kathy Patricia Breakwell, 54, of 1193 State Road, Monessen, is charged by city police with possessing three doses of oxycodone and retail theft after she allegedly was caught stealing items from Foodland, 701 Donner Ave., about 7:15 p.m. Jan. 23, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges Thursday by summons.

NORTH CHARLEROI

Man charged: David E. Mick, 60, of 431 Liberty Ave., North Charleroi, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with theft and access device fraud over allegations he stole a banking card from a neighbor while she was hospitalized and used it between Jan. 2 and 8 to make $80 worth of purchases, court records show. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the charges by summons Friday.

NORTH STRABANE

Police car hit: Belinda Anthony, 36, of 225 Grace Ave., Canonsburg, faces a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol after she allegedly crashed her vehicle into a North Strabane police cruiser in the parking lot of Sheetz, Route 19, about 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Police said they pulled into the lot for a traffic stop on another vehicle when Anthony backed out of a parking stall. Sgt. Matt Mancini blew the horn, but he said Mancini continued driving and struck the cruiser. She then put the car in drive and tried to drive away, police said. Mancini got out of the cruiser and opened her car door, ordering her to stop. Police said her blood-alcohol content was more than 1 ½ times the limit at which intoxication is presumed.

One injured: Madelyn Christine Adams, 17, of Christy Road, Eighty Four, was slightly injured in a two-vehicle crash on Route 19 (Washington Road) at Chubbic Road. North Strabane police said she was in the left southbound lane of Route 19, preparing to turn left onto Chubbic, when she was hit from behind by a car driven by Judith Kay Sopcak, 73, of Allison Avenue, Washington.

Charged in stop: James D. Hookey III, 33, of 2895 Noblestown Road, McDonald, was charged last week by state police with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and disorderly conduct stemming from a Dec. 5 traffic stop on Interstate 79 southbound near the Houston exit, North Strabane. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

SOMERSET

Drivers identified: State police have identified the drivers and their passengers injured Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash at Brownlee Road and Route 136, Somerset. Police said Kendra T. Perry, 45, of Charleroi, was going north on Brownlee when she apparently failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection and went into oncoming traffic, colliding with a pickup truck driven by Kevin J. Martinelli, 41, of Olean, N.Y., that was going east on Route 136. Her car spun out of control, while the truck went off the road into a field. Perry and a 7-year-old boy who was in her car were flown to Pittsburgh hospitals for treatment. Martinelli and his passenger, Christopher Study, 31, of Morgantown, W.Va., were slightly injured.

SOUTH STRABANE

Woman charged: Mariku R. Knox, 34, of Pittsburgh, was charged last week by South Strabane police with retail theft after she allegedly stole items valued at $895.53 from Hobby Lobby, Old Mill Boulevard. She allegedly stole the items during several trips to the store. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Receiving, theft charges: Tyrie Blackburn, 39, of 481 Wayne St., Washington, was charged last week by South Strabane police with theft by deception and receiving stolen property after he allegedly failed to ring up items valued at $196 at Walmart, Trinity Point, Jan. 13. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

WASHINGTON

Mirror broken: Katelynn Dyson of Meadow Lands told Washington police Friday the driver’s side mirror on her vehicle was broken while the vehicle was parked in the 300 block of East Maiden Street. Charges are pending against a suspect.

Woman assaulted: Nadia Gates, 24, of Linn Avenue, told Washington police she was punched and choked by a 47-year-old man at her home Saturday. Charges are pending against her alleged attacker, who was gone when police arrived.

Sneakers stolen: G.L. Riley of Washington told Washington police Saturday a pair of Air Jordan shoes he ordered through Facebook from a Virginia man were never sent to him. When Riley tried contacting the seller, his access to the Facebook account had been blocked.

Cellphone stolen: Tina Thomas of 666 Fayette St. told Washington police Friday her cellphone was stolen from her porch.
