CALIFORNIA

Two arrested: Clarence Lancaster, 63, and Sabrina Cullen, 33, both of 327 Fifth St., California, were arrested early Wednesday by borough police on charges of simple assault and harassment. Lancaster is accused of grabbing Cullen by the throat. Cullen is accused of throwing a candle at Lancaster’s head and punching him. Police said the two are in a relationship. They were arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bonds.

FINLEYVILLE

Bar cited: Karen Kolessar and Hunting Lodge II, 3529 Washington Ave., Finleyville, were cited Monday by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allegedly serving alcohol to an 18-year-old April 16.

NORTH STRABANE

Risking catastrophe: Logan John Hummell, 28, of 1054 W. Wylie Ave., Canton Township, was arraigned Wednesday on charges of risking a catastrophe, propulsion of missiles and littering after he allegedly was caught by state police throwing lit fireworks from inside a vehicle onto Interstate 79 in North Strabane Township earlier this week. State police received reports about 9:30 p.m. Sunday of a vehicle igniting fireworks near the Beau Street exit of Interstate 70. A trooper was monitoring traffic on I-79 north near the Racetrack Road exit when he saw a firework explode on the on-ramp to the highway. The vehicle was stopped near the Southpointe exit. Hummell was arraigned before District Jay Weller and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled for an Aug. 6 preliminary hearing before Weller.

SOUTH STRABANE

Scam attempted: A resident of Beech Street told South Strabane police Tuesday she received a call the previous night from a man claiming to be collecting donations for “cops killed.” He asked her to donate between $45 and $65. She told him she was on a fixed income, but could give $10. He told her she needed to use a credit card to pay. After telling him she did not have a credit card, she hung up. She told police he did not call back.

WASHINGTON

Juveniles face charges: Three Washington boys, ages 11, 14 and 15, will be charged by Washington police with criminal mischief after they allegedly broke windows on vans owned by Robert Clark and Timothy Sanders and a window at the home of Timothy Moniger. The property damaged Monday was in the city’s West End.

Items stolen: Shelly Fields of East Hallam Avenue told Washington police Monday an iPad and TracPhone were stolen from her home.

Information accessed: Sharon Stone of Washington told Washington police Monday credit card accounts were opened in Delaware using her personal information.

Vehicle damaged: Broghen Tricket of North Franklin Township told Washington police Tuesday her vehicle was damaged while it was parked in the lot at Walgreens, Jefferson Avenue.

Wallet stolen: Kinsey Dean of Court Street told Washington police Tuesday her wallet containing identification, a credit card and $16 was stolen from her unlocked vehicle.
