Guns, drugs reportedly confiscated in Washington raid
An assault-style rifle, 9 mm pistol and suspected cocaine packaged for sale were among the items police said they seized Friday morning when a Washington home was raided and the resident taken into custody on drug charges.
Henry Thomas Lacks IV, 38, of 535 Fayette St., was arrested when Washington police, accompanied by K-9 Tony, the state police vice unit and Washington County Drug Task Force detectives, served a warrant at his home about 6:20 a.m.
Lacks was the subject of a investigation by task force detectives that spanned several months. The items seized are indicative of trafficking cocaine, according to investigators.
Detectives said they found nine individually wrapped packages of cocaine in a bedroom, a digital scale, cellphone, bank card and $52.
Lacks was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver cocaine and possession of paraphernalia. He was placed in Washington County jail on $35,000 bond. He is scheduled for a July 25 hearing before Redlinger.
Detectives said more charges could be filed once the investigation into the weapons is complete.
