AMWELL
Charged in crash: Ashley T. Salko, 27, of Pittsburgh, was charged Tuesday by state police with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia after the items were found in her vehicle when she crashed May 24 on Interstate 79 northbound north of the Lone Pine exit, Amwell. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.
BUFFALO
Driver charged: Edward F. Bunnell III, 52, of 77 Main St., Taylorstown, was charged Tuesday by state police with driving under the influence and traffic violations after a June 23 crash on Green Valley Road near Pleasant Valley Road, Buffalo. State police said an open can of beer was found in the vehicle and a case was found outside of it. Bunnell was taken to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment of a head injury. His blood-alcohol level was more than double the 0.08 limit presumed for intoxication. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.
CALIFORNIA
Trespass charge: Brian Ricardo Delacruz, 22, of Lancaster, will be charged by California police with criminal trespass after he allegedly went to the Kwik-Fill, 323 Third St., Saturday. He was previously banned from the store.
CANONSBURG
Wallet stolen: Samantha Collup of Carnegie told Canonsburg police Monday her wallet containing $70, a debit card and a $200 Visa gift card was stolen from the office of Keystone Hardware, 615 W. Pike St. The card was used at the CoGo’s, Pike Street, in Houston by a white man with light-colored hair.
JEFFERSON
Arraigned on warrant: Nathan Brooks, 37, whose last known address was Alliance, Ohio, was arraigned Monday before District Judge Ethan Ward on charges of theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing a Ruger pistol and box of silver dollars from a home on Creek Lane, Jefferson, in April. State police were able to use fingerprints left at the scene to identify him. He was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
MONESSEN
Liquor law violation: The operator of the Ukrainian Club, 57 Schoonmaker Ave., was cited Friday by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement with failing to maintain small games of chance records for two years.
SOMERSET
Driver injured: Tyler Simon, 25, of Broussard, La., was injured Monday when his pickup truck hit a guardrail and went over an embankment on Interstate 70 near the Dunningsville exit, Somerset, state police said. He was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.
WASHINGTON
Drug charges: Ross Wayne Goldstone, 20, of 61 Lemoyne Ave., Washington, was charged by state police with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and four traffic summary offenses following a traffic stop early Saturday in the 600 block of Jefferson Avenue. Police said they found a small baggie of marijuana in the vehicle, after stopping Goldstone for crossing the center line about 12:45 a.m. Police said there was a juvenile in the car with Goldstone.
Foot pursuit: Devon Derey Boyd, 26, of 650 E. Maiden St., Washington, was charged by Washington police with flight to avoid apprehension following an incident July 2 on Springfield Avenue. Police said Boyd fled to avoid adult probation, and when police told him to stop, he kept running.
Washer, dryer stolen: A stackable washer and dryer along with a vacuum cleaner were reported stolen Monday from a house at 235 E. Hallam Ave., Washington police said.
Store burglarized: An employee of the Cricket store, 80 N. Main St., told Washington police 14 iPhones and two Android phones were stolen when the store was burglarized over the weekend. A man is seen on nearby surveillance leaving the area carrying a white bag.
Items stolen: Stephanie Mrosek, 235 W. Chestnut St., told Washington police Monday a radar detector and gift cards were stolen from her vehicle.
