Cecil Township road closures will cause detour
A dual closure and detour will affect travel on Reissing Road and Millers Run Road in Cecil Township beginning Wednesday.
The state Department of Transportation will be replacing a bridge on Millers Run Road while Reissing Road remains closed due to the state Turnpike Commission’s Southern Beltway project.
For approximately one month, motorists using the current Reissing Road detour will now need to use the following detour beginning today: turn right onto Millers Run Road (State Route 50) for 1.2 miles; turn left onto Muse-Bishop Road for 3.1 miles; turn right onto State Route 980 for 6.6 miles and turn right onto Reissing Road.
Reissing Road is expected to reopen Aug. 20 when work in that area will be complete.
