AMWELL
Assault charge: State police charged Alexis M. Nolot, 20, of Chestnut Ridge Road, with simple assault and harassment in connection with a fight Monday night during which she allegedly pushed and grabbed her mother to restrain her before they started pushing each other following an argument. Nolot was arraigned the following morning before District Judge Mark Wilson, who sent her to Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond.
BURGETTSTOWN
Two hurt: Two women were injured when their cars collided July 17 at the intersection of Route 18 and Bridge Street, McDonald police said. Christina Righettini, 23, of Route 18, Burgettstown, was taken to Washington Hospital, and Amy Strain, 49, of Swihart Road, McDonald, was taken to Canonsburg Hospital, police said.
CHARLEROI
Man jailed: Keith Michael Davis, 26, of 922 Meadow Ave., Charleroi, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with strangulation, harassment, simple assault and disorderly conduct. Police accuse him of choking, striking and slamming Kylie Beaver against a wall about 12:20 a.m. Wednesday in his residence. Davis is in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.
NORTH FRANKLIN
Endangerment charge: Harry L. Bowman, 50, of McGowan Lane, was charged Friday with two counts each of reckless endangerment, simple assault and harassment. The night before, township police were dispatched to Bowman’s home after he allegedly slammed his son’s face on the hood of a lawn tractor and hit his daughter in the stomach and pushed her to the ground when she tried to intervene. The fight allegedly started because he didn’t want his son to drive the tractor, which had a flat tire. Bowman was charged by summons from District Judge Robert Redlinger’s office.
SMITH
Strangulation charge: Township police charged David J. Constant, 52, of Langeloth with strangulation, simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment Wednesday in connection with an incident at his Eleanor Street home the night before. An officer said in court papers he was dispatched to the address, where a woman told him Constant threatened her, grabbed her by the throat and shoved her against the wall because he was angry she’d been out with a girlfriend while he wasn’t home. Constant was jailed on $25,000 bond following his arraignment before District Judge Mark Wilson.
SOUTH STRABANE
Fraud report: Township police responded to a report of a person allegedly using a fraudulent credit card to pay for a room at Motel 6 off Murtland Avenue on Tuesday. Police advised the woman to leave and expected the business to press charges.
Shoplifting: A township police officer was dispatched Tuesday to Target in Strabane Square for a report that a man had concealed unspecified items and left the store before a woman exchanged the stolen merchandise, valued at $123, for a gift card.
Theft: Police expect to charge a former employee of Pier One Imports in Strabane Square who allegedly admitted to printing out extra customer receipts for the purpose of making fraudulent returns in June and July. The store had fired the employee. Police learned of the allegations and spoke to the former employee Tuesday.
WASHINGTON
Man charged: City police charged Anthony M. Byers, 31, of Fayette Street, with possessing LSD and attempting to use drug-free urine. Washington County probation officers told a city police officer that Byers had attempted to use urine from a squirt bottle during a drug test Friday. A piece of foil allegedly containing two hits of the drug fell out of his pocket when he took out the bottle, police said. Charges were filed by summons from District Judge Robert Redlinger’s office.
