Box truck crashes on Interstate 70
A box truck carrying dry goods over turned on an embankment early Tuesday, closing one lane of Interstate 70 east for about seven hours.
According to a 911-dispatch supervisor, no injuries were reported in the crash that happened just after 1 a.m., but some fuel leaked from the truck onto the hillside. South Strabane firefighters, the Washington County hazmat team and Weavertown Environmental Group responded to the scene for cleanup.
The driver Shukur Usmonov, 32, of Holland, Pa., was not injured.
