Traffic stoppages planned at Findlay Connector exits
Traffic stoppages will occur next week on the Findlay Connector (PA Turnpike 576) in Washington and Allegheny counties at each of the entrance and exit ramps.
The planned stoppages are necessary for crews to remove the canopies of the former tolling locations as a result of the Findlay Connector being converted to cashless tolling June 3.
The schedule to remove the structures is as follows:
- Monday at Exit 2; eastbound traffic exiting the Findlay Connector at U.S. 30 will be stopped between 8 and 8:30 p.m. Westbound traffic entering the Findlay Connector will be stopped between 11 and 11:30 p.m.
- Tuesday at Exit 4; eastbound traffic exiting the Findlay Connector at Westport Road will be stopped between 8 and 8:30 p.m. Westbound traffic entering the Findlay Connector will be stopped between 11 and 11:30 p.m.
- Wednesday at Exit 6; eastbound traffic exiting the Findlay Connector at U.S. 22 will be stopped between 8 and 8:30 p.m. Westbound traffic entering the Findlay Connector will be stopped between 11 and 11:30 p.m.
Message boards will be in place alerting motorists of the stoppages. Traffic traveling on the mainline of the Findlay Connector will not be affected.
