Police Beat June 10
FRANKLIN
Driver cited: Manfred Barie, 54, of Uniontown, was cited by state police with failure to stay in his lane after his pickup truck went off South Morgan Street, Franklin, and crashed through hedges before hitting a parked all-terrain vehicle and then hit the hedges a second time. Barie was driving north when he apparently fell asleep at the wheel. He woke up, bringing the truck to a stop in the home’s backyard. Police said there was damage to the lawn.
Transactions made: A 66-year-old Franklin man told state police last week his bank account was accessed between March 27 and May 8, making seven transactions totaling $296.31. Police said the investigation is continuing.
GREENE
Card used: A Greene Township man told state police June 2 his debit card was used at a gasoline station, charging $245.82. Police ask that anyone with information call 724-627-6151.
PERRY
Teen cited: A 16-year-old Waynesburg boy was cited last week by state police with driving without a license in connection with a May 19 crash on Mt. Morris Road, Perry. Police said the boy was driving north when he fell asleep at the wheel. His car went off the road, hit an embankment and rolled onto its roof. The boy was not injured and taken home by police who notified his mother of the incident.
