The public is invited to attend a meeting of Greene County Opioid Overdose Task Force at 6 p.m. Monday at the fairgrounds.

The meeting will be in the upstairs room of the 4-H building. At the meeting, the task force’s strategic plan will be presented. Input from the community is encouraged. Those at the meeting will be asked to work in small groups to provide suggestions for the plan.

The task force is chaired by the Greene County commissioners and was reorganized in January to respond to concerns about increased opioid abuse and overdoses in the community. The Program Evaluation and Research Unit of University of Pittsburgh’s School of Pharmacy is helping to facilitate the task force.

For more information about the meeting or the task force, contact Megan Neuf, project coordinator at University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, by calling 412-383-4175 or by emailing mln51@pitt.edu.
