CANTON

Criminal mischief: A resident in the 400 block of Brad Avenue reported to state police someone threw a rock into his house window about 1:15 a.m. June 6.

CHARTIERS

Corruption charge: Tyler Alexander Haught, 22, of 59 W. Walnut St., Washington, was charged by Chartiers police with corruption of minors, possession of marijuana and four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia after he allegedly was seen smoking marijuana with a 13-year-old girl last month. Police said Haught and the girl were sharing marijuana outside in the 2400 block of North Main Extension about 7 p.m. May 29. Police said they also found multiple smoking devices in his belongings, and he had a bench warrant out of Washington County probation.

MONESSEN

Assault alleged: Talifero Benjamin Clark, 28, of 651 McKean Ave., Donora, is charged by city police with simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment, court records show. Police accuse Clark of repeatedly striking Kaitlyn Vernet while she was driving in the city early Sunday. A senior district judge in Monessen issued the charges Friday in a summons.

NORTH STRABANE

Officer involved in crash: A North Strabane police officer was involved in a three-vehicle crash that included a patrol vehicle about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday on Racetrack Road. Chartiers police, who responded to the scene and are investigating the crash, reported three people, including the officer, were taken to a nearby hospital. No further details were immediately available.

PETERS

Firearms charges: Noah Aloysius Farkas, 26, of 123 Elm Grove Drive, McMurray, was charged by Peters Township police with illegal possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after police and Washington County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at his home Thursday morning. Police said they found 41 wax paper bags containing suspected heroin, 15 hypodermic needles, two rifles and a shotgun. Police said because Farkas has a previous felony conviction, he is prohibited from possessing a gun. He was arraigned Thursday afternoon by District Judge Jay Weller and jailed on $25,000 bond.

ROSTRAVER

Assaults alleged: Ryan Thomas Henderson, 24, of 662 Old Route 71, Fallowfield Township, and Michael George Mahoney II, 42, of 311 Forrest Drive, Rostraver Township, are charged with simple assault and reckless endangerment, court records show. The suspects are accused of striking Jonathan and Lorena Leeper following a crash involving their motorcycles about 3:40 p.m. June 3 at Broad and Johnson avenues. Henderson also faces charges of possessing an instrument of a crime and causing an accident involving an attended vehicle. Senior District Judge Herbert G. Mitchell issued the charges Wednesday by summons.

WASHINGTON

Burglary: A woman reported to police Thursday evening her home in the 700 block of Fayette Street had been burglarized. Police said the woman came home about 8:30 p.m. to find her door open and $300 missing from a bedroom.

Criminal mischief: An Allison Avenue couple reported their vehicles had been damaged and scratched June 3 while parked outside the couple’s home in the 800 block of Allison.

WEST BETHLEHEM

Cruelty case held: Clint Justice Muniz, 26, of 201 Meadow Alley, West Bethlehem Township, is charged by Washington Area Humane Society with cruelty to animals, court records show. Muniz is accused of punching a relative’s dog about 11:15 a.m. April 27 outside his residence. He was ordered held for court Wednesday by District Judge Curtis Thompson.
