BENTLEYVILLE
Drug charges: Toby J. McCann, 45, of 373 Findlay St., Washington, was charged by Washington County Drug Task Force with possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia following an investigation in October. Detectives reported using a confidential informant to meet McCann at a location in Bentleyville, where McCann allegedly sold the informant crack cocaine.
CLAYSVILLE
Drug charges: Michelle Lee Causey, 45, of Wheeling, W.Va., was charged by Washington County sheriff’s deputies with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia following an incident last month at the BP gas station at 1133 Route 40. Deputies said they recognized a man who had been soliciting money from patrons of the gas station about 11:30 a.m. May 30. They arrested him on retail theft warrants from Allegheny County. He reportedly had been a passenger in Causey’s vehicle. When deputies searched the vehicle, they said they found several syringes, three metal pipes for smoking crack cocaine and one spoon with suspected heroin in it.
DONEGAL
Drug charges: Ashley Michelle Richey, 27, of 111 Highland Ave., West Alexander, was charged by Donegal Township police with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at Donegal Avenue and Fifth Street June 12. Police said Richey was a passenger in the vehicle, which police searched. Police said they found suspected methamphetamine and a marijuana cigarette in her purse.
DONORA
Drug charge: James Jonathan Abbott, 44, of 219 11th St., Donora, is charged by borough police with crack possession stemming from a traffic stop about 9 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of Meldon Avenue, court records show. District Judge Mark Wilson issued the charge Monday in a summons.
FALLOWFIELD
Man jailed: Gavin Lee Pager, 29, of 415 Woodward Ave., Fallowfield Township, is charged by state police with flight to avoid apprehension, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Police accuse Pager of running from his house in an attempt to elude a Washington County probation officer about 5 p.m. June 11. Police said he ran across a field and into woods before being apprehended on a parole violation. He was placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond set Tuesday by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
MONESSEN
Charged in traffic stop: Percy Lee Majors, 54, of 538 Ninth St., Monessen, is charged by city police with illegal possession of a shotgun as a convicted felon, carrying a firearm without a license and possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a traffic stop about 1:40 a.m. Saturday at Aliquippa Avenue and Second Street, court records show. The driver, Lana Fowler, 29, of 804 Somerset Ave., Monessen, is charged with theft of the vehicle she drove, receiving stolen property and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. She was placed in Westmoreland County jail on $10,000 bond. Majors was jailed on $25,000 bond.
NORTH CHARLEROI
Drug case: Damien Raymond Harris, 34, of 800 Center Ave., North Charleroi, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with drug possession, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Police accuse Harris of illegal possession of 29 Subutex pills during a June 9 traffic stop at Route 88 and the Charleroi-Monessen Bridge. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the charges Tuesday in a summons.
Assault alleged: Dustin Terrant, 19, of 783 E. Main St., Monongahela, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment, court records show. Police accuse Terrant of striking a 17-year-old boy in the head with a metal mailbox about 11 p.m. June 13 in the 700 block of Liberty Avenue. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the charges Monday in a summons.
ROSTRAVER
Man jailed: Robert W. Heckman, 36, of 929 Fayette Ave., Washington Township, is charged by township police with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Police accuse Heckman of having six stamp bags of heroin when an officer was dispatched about 7:30 p.m. Friday to the parking lot of Giant Eagle, 300 Tri-County Lane, because a woman was unresponsive. He was placed in Westmoreland County jail on $2,500 bond set by District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr.
SOUTH STRABANE
Drug charges: Gracie A. Mitchell, 25, of 750 Fayette St., Washington, was charged by Washington County Drug Task Force with possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after she allegedly sold heroin to a confidential informant in April an at undisclosed location.
WASHINGTON
Crash: Washington police responded Sunday night to a hit-and-run crash in the 400 block of West Hallam Avenue. Jalea Wade, 24 of Broad Street, told police she was traveling east when a car, traveling from B Avenue, struck her vehicle and pushed her car into two parked cars. Wade told police four people, who appeared to be juveniles, had been in the car that struck hers. After the crash, they allegedly fled on foot down an alley. Police said the car the juveniles reportedly had been in is registered to a Wilmerding man. Police, who are still investigating, said there was an uneaten Little Caesar’s pizza in the back seat of the car.
Burglary: A woman in the 900 block of Bruce Street reported to Washington police two televisions were stolen from her home between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday. Police said the basement door had been pried open.
Criminal mischief: The owner of the music store at 801 W. Chestnut St. reported to police video surveillance showed multiple vehicle crashes in the parking lot early Saturday. Police said a truck could be seen pulling into the parking lot about 2:25 a.m. and crashing into the owner’s car, before backing up and striking the car again. Police said three minutes later, the truck came back and crashed into the owner’s car, pushing it into and damaging other property near the building. Police have no suspects.
Criminal mischief: Washington police responded to several reports of rocks being thrown at vehicles and houses throughout the city Thursday and Friday nights. A man in the 300 block of Burton Avenue reported someone had thrown a rock through his front window Thursday night. The city’s street department noticed Friday morning its building at 900 E. Wheeling St. had two windows damaged by rocks and a rear wall damaged by graffiti. A Castle Road resident reported his car had been parked at the corner of Oregon and Wheeling streets about 8 p.m. Friday when it was damaged. A witness told police she saw two boys throwing rocks at it. Another report came in Friday evening of children on Linden Avenue throwing rocks at an excavator, smashing its window and causing several dents.
Threat alleged: City police charged Samuel Higgins, 68, of Centerville with terroristic threats. A detective said in court papers Higgins “made several threatening statements” toward a Canonsburg police officer who transported Higgins to the Washington County jail after arresting him May 9. Jail records do not list Higgins as being a current inmate. The charge was filed by summons Monday at District Judge Robert Redlinger’s office.
Assault charge: City police charged Jordan Sadler, 25, of Buffalo Township with simple assault Tuesday in connection with an incident that morning. Police said Sadler went to a dwelling in Maple Terrace and threw a 7-year-old out of a bed before arguing and fighting with the boy’s mother. Sadler allegedly kicked the woman in the stomach more than once. Police also said he was in possession of a kitchen knife during the altercation, and he and the woman suffered minor cuts. The charge was filed by summons at District Judge Robert Redlinger’s office.
