Cook to hold town hall meeting
State Rep. Bud Cook, R-West Pike Run, is inviting concerned citizens from the Belle Vernon Area School District to join him March 8 for an informational town hall meeting. The meeting will be held at the Washington Township Fire Hall, 1314 Axton St., Belle Vernon, beginning at 6 p.m.
Cook will open the meeting with an update on current local and state legislative issues. The forum will then transition to a panel discussion where attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and further discuss issues impacting the community. In addition to Cook, panel members are expected to include borough council members, county commissioners, school board members and township supervisors.
