WAYNESBURG – A number of criminal defendants recently appeared before Greene County Judge Lou Dayich for sentencing.

Nadine Ann Corigliano, 52, of 413 N. Sixth St., Clairton, was sentenced Feb. 26 to 45 days to 1 year in jail on charges of theft and access device fraud. Corigliano was found guilty of the charges in a non-jury trial before Dayich Oct. 31. On Aug 17, 2016, Corigliano used the bank card number of a Clarksville woman to make a $500 court payment to Dauphin County on a bad check charge. She had been employed at the time at a pharmacy in Pittsburgh at which the victim had called in a prescription.

David Michael Renner, 37, of 627 Rudolph Run Road, Spraggs, was sentenced in four separate cases to a total of 30 months to 60 months in prison. The sentence will be deferred for Renner to complete trade school to report Feb. 21 with a recommendation for motivational boot camp, Recidivism Risk Reduction Incentive program recommendation of 22 months and 15 days, $6,996 total in restitution to Emerald Mine and $16,500 restitution to Safeco Inc. Charges include six counts of burglary, five counts of theft by unlawful taking, three counts of criminal mischief, six counts of criminal trespass, possession of instruments of crime, and five counts of loitering and prowling at nighttime. State police said Renner cut approximately $3,971 worth of copper equipment at an Emerald Mine site at Route 19 and Laurel Run Road in Franklin Township Aug. 1, cut the lock on a steel door and cut cables without taking anything Aug. 28, cut cable valued at $2,970 Aug. 15 and took $16,500 in copper scrap from Safeco along Route 88 in Dunkard Township on four separate occasions in September, October and November in 2016.

Richard Calvin Roebuck, 53, of 220 Carr Rd., Uniontown; fleeing or eluding police, accident involving damage to an attended vehicle or property, obedience to traffic control, traffic control signal, stop signs, three counts of turning movements, speeding, exceeding maximum speed by 43 mph, careless driving and duty to give and render aid. Roebuck passed a state police trooper on Route 21 near the former Hatfield Power plant in Monongahela Township Aug. 18 going 88 mph in a 45 mph zone. State police said he passed several vehicles during the pursuit and eventually crashed into a car and two homes. Sentence: 30 days to 23 1/2 years in the Greene County Jail, one year of probation and a total $834 fine.

Kevin Duane Leadbeater Jr., 31, of 1309 Kirk St., Connellsville; driving under the influence, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving vehicle at safe speed. Waynesburg Borough police stopped Leadbeater for speeding on East Greene Steet Aug. 23, 2016, and found marijuana and a smoking device during a search of the vehicle. Sentence: 72 hours to 6 months in jail, 6 months of probation concurrent to jail sentence, a $525 fine, five sessions of driver improvement school, a driver’s license suspension and 60 hours of community service.

Heidi Marie Harbarger, 42, of 260 W. High St., Waynesburg; failure to comply with registration of sexual offenders requirements. State police checked Harbarger’s registered address Sept. 26 and discovered she had moved out months prior without updating her address, per Megan’s Law requirements. Sentence: 18 months to five years in jail and 60 hours of community service.

John Wilson Hewitt Jr., 37, of 299 Booth School Road, Graysville; summary disorderly conduct. State police found Hewitt to be in violation of his parole Nov. 29. Sentence: $200 fine.

John Clark Huey Jr., 57, of 307 Greene St., Carmichaels; terroristic threats, simple assault and reckless endangerment of another person. In an argument with his girlfriend, Huey fired a total of four shots in his door Oct. 7, state police said. Sentence: five years of county intermediate punishment with the first seven months to include GPS and alcohol monitoring, 100 days in jail and 100 hours of community service.

Jonathon Chaz Balazick, 32, of 243 Rices Landing Road, Rices Landing; criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief; a burglary charge was dismissed. State police investigated a burglary at 231 Rices Landing Road in Rices Landing Oct. 9, 2013. Balazick was arrested the following day in an unrelated theft with a cut on his elbow and blood on his clothes. Items taken in the burglary were found in his mother’s home, and blood left behind at the scene matched Balazick’s DNA. Sentence: One to five years of state incarceration with Recidivism Risk Reduction Incentive program recommendation of 9 months.

Michael Andrew Pennypacker, 32, an inmate at SCI-Greene prison at the time of the incident; aggravated harassment by prisoner. Pennypacker spit on a corrections officer during the collection of food trays Nov. 14, 2016, according to state police. Sentence: 21 to 42 months of state incarceration concurrent to any other sentence.

Sarah Marie Blake, 27, of 323 Fourth St., Waynesburg; open lewdness and disorderly conduct. Greene County Sheriff’s deputies say Blake put her hand down a man’s pants in front of the elevator inside the Fort Jackson Building Sept. 28. Sentence: two years of probation, $100 fine and 70 hours of community service.

Elijah M. David, 19, of 1397 Jefferson Road, Jefferson; retail theft; a charge of receiving stolen property was dismissed. Cumberland Township police said David took snack cakes, cereal bars, beef jerky and drinks from Sheetz Sept. 14 without paying. Sentence: 363 days of probation, consecutive to previous supervision, 80 hours of community service, and $47.39 in restitution to Sheetz.

Jaime Beth Haywood, 38, of 49 W. Locust Alley, Waynesburg; three disorderly conduct charges and one count of harassment; a simple assault charge was dismissed. Waynesburg Borough police responded to Haywood’s home Oct. 28 with Greene County Regional police on a report of an argument with her daughter. Haywood was reportedly aggressive and yelling at officers, slammed a door on an officer’s arm and resisted arrest. Sentence: two years of probation concurrent to previous supervision, a $25 fine, 40 hours of community service and participation in the Mental Illness and Substance Abuse program.

Jennifer Lynn Colina, 29, of 372 Washington Ave., Bridgeville; false identification to law enforcement and driving with a suspended license. Waynesburg police stopped Colina on East Greene at South Morgan streets March 27. Colina had a suspended driver’s license and gave police her sister’s information. Sentence: six months of probation, a $200 fine and 35 hours of community service.

Belmont F. Forsythe, 21, of 66 Diaz Ave., Nemacolin; possession of drug paraphernalia, head lamps and tail lamps, identification clearance and side markers, stop signs and yield signs and required financial responsibility; a charge of obedience to traffic control was dismissed. Cumberland Township police were at Nemacolin and Stagecoach roads in Nemacolin when Forsythe approached with no headlights Oct. 24. Police found a glass smoking device in the glove box. Sentence: 6 months probation, 50 hours of community service and a total $475 fine.

Mark Bradley Witmer, 48, of Cameron, N.C.; driving under the influence, driving under the influence of alcohol and careless driving. Sentence: 72 hours to 6 months in the Greene County jail, a $525 fine, five sessions of driver improvement school and a driver’s license suspension. Witmer hit a parked car in a parking lot at 229 Mt. Morris Road June 17. Witmer had a blood alcohol content of .210, according to state police.

Reece Dillon Shepard, 26, of Morgantown, W.Va.; firearms not to be carried without a license, false identification to law enforcement officials, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia; a charge of persons not to possess a firearm was withdrawn. Shepard was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for speeding on Interstate 79 on March 3, 2017; he gave police false identification and was in possession of marijuana, scales, a marijuana grinder and a handgun. Shepard was prohibited from possessing a gun because of a felony drug conviction in West Virginia. Sentence: to 18 to 84 months in prison and was deemed eligible for the Recidivism Risk Reduction Incentive program, which will reduce his minimum sentence to 13 months and 15 days. He also was given credit for 121 days already served in jail.
