St. Clair Hospital included among top 100
For the third time in seven years, St. Clair Hospital has been named one of the 100 Top Hospitals in the United States by IBM Watson Health.
The designation, announced Monday, is the result of an annual study by IBM Watson Health that, according to a news release, “uses objective data, peer-reviewed methodology and key performance metrics, such as those pertaining to patient safety, clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.”
All of the nation’s acuter care hospitals are considered and none applies or pays for the chance to be included.
John T. Sullivan, M.D., senior vice president and chief medical officer at the Mt. Lebanon facility, said in a statement the hospital “is honored to again be included in this prestigious group. It’s a testament to the commitment to overall excellence shared by our board, medical staff, employees and volunteers.”
