Check cashed: Allan Perry of Canonsburg told borough police Wednesday that one of his credit union account checks was cashed for $250 without his permission. He notified the credit union and canceled the rest of his checks.
CHARLEROI
Assault arrest: James E. Skolnekovich, 34, of 310 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, was arrested Wednesday afternoon by Charleroi Regional police on charge of simple assault and harassment after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend during an altercation on McKean Avenue. He was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and placed in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond.
EAST FINLEY
Strangulation arrest: Tony Lesley Trichel, 46, of 550 Templeton Run Road, Claysville, was arrested Wednesday afternoon by state police after he allegedly choked his girlfriend during a confrontation at their East Finley Township home. He was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald on charges of strangulation and harassment. Trichel was placed in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond.
MONONGAHELA
Assaults alleged: Marissa Marie Gillard, 26, of 144 Coal Bluff Road, Union Township, is charged by city police with simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and harassment, court records show. Police accuse her of striking Gavin Duda and Garrett Bellis in the Sheetz store at 111 E. Main St. about 2:15 a.m. March 10. The alleged victims told police they saw her earlier in a nearby bar and didn’t know her or why she assaulted them. District Judge Curtis Thompson issued the charges Tuesday in a summons.
Charges filed: Mac J. Molek, 38, of 2 Young St., Monongahela, is charged by city police with receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Police accuse him of selling iron pipe that had been stolen in Monessen for $416 March 9 at Monongahela Iron & Metal, 613 E. Main St. District Judge Curtis Thompson issued the charged Tuesday by summons.
WASHINGTON
Man charged: Michael George Jackson Jr., 18, of 103 W. Walnut St., is being charged with flight to avoid apprehension and carrying a firearm without a license after he allegedly fled from police March 9. According to police, an officer approached Jackson about 11:40 a.m. and told him he had a bench warrant for him from the Washington County Juvenile Probation office. Jackson fled, jumping over a fence at 115 Church St. and dropping a handgun, police said. He was taken into custody at 103 W. Walnut St., where police said he was hiding under a bed. Charges are being sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
WEST BETHLEHEM
Crash: As a result of icy conditions, a vehicle driven by Joshua W. Morse, 26, of Clarksville, went off Barr Run Road about 5:49 p.m. Tuesday and rolled down a hill, police said. Morse sustained a minor injury.
