CANONSBURG

Pole hit: Andrew M. Dashofy, 22, of Canonsburg, faces charges including driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after he crashed his vehicle into two utility poles on Adams Avenue just after 6 a.m. Sunday, Canonsburg police said. The impact knocked several transformers to the ground, causing a power outage in the area. Dashofy was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment. Police said blood was drawn to determine his level of intoxication.

CECIL

Husband, wife arrested: Jennifer J. Moninger, 35, and Timothy H. Moninger, 40, both of 10 Gomber Drive, were arrested Sunday by Cecil police after they allegedly assaulted each other at their home. She is accused of punching her husband, while he is accused of pushing and grabbing her. They were arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and released on $10,000 unsecured bonds.

CHARLEROI

Assault alleged: Lamontaz Vales, 20, of 519 First St., Charleroi, was arrested Sunday by Charleroi Regional police on charges of simple assault and harassment after he allegedly hit a woman in the eye and broke her glasses. Vales was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and placed in Washington County jail on $15,000 bond.

CHARTIERS

Woman arrested: Ashley Sadler, 25, of 717 N. Main St., was arrested Friday by Chartiers police after she allegedly hit a 29-year-old man in the face during a confrontation at their home. She was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald on charges of simple assault and harassment. Sadler was released from Washington County jail after posting $15,000 bond.

Fugitive caught: Raymond Hutter Jr., 51, of Canfield, Ohio, was taken into custody Friday by Washington police as a fugitive from justice. He is wanted in Mahoning County, Ohio, on an escape charge, in addition to a parole violation. Police received information he was at a home on Holly Drive in Washington Estates trailer park. He was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald.

HANOVER

Two charged: Shane Evans, 33, and Stanley D. Lipscomb, 31, both of Weirton, W.Va., were arrested Thursday night by Hanover police on charges of possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia. Police were called to the intersection of Devils Den and Clydes roads for a report of a suspicious vehicle, and Evans and Lipscomb reportedly were found in a car there. Evans also faces a charge of driving under the influence of marijuana and traffic violations. The two were arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bonds.

Assault charges: Charles Wolanski, 60, of 181 Five Points Road, Hanover, was arrested Saturday by state police on charges of simple assault and harassment after he allegedly punched his wife four times and threatened to kill her and their dog. He was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

HOUSTON

Charges pending: State police plan to charge a 36-year-old Houston man with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after he reportedly took a vehicle from a home on Cummins Street in Houston without permission Saturday. The vehicle was later found in Canton Township.

MONESSEN

Man arraigned: Gregory Cervo, 28, of 115 Spyridon Lane, Monessen, is charged by city police with institutional vandalism, trespassing, burglary and criminal mischief, court records show. Police accuse Cervo, a son of the priest at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, of using his father’s keys to enter the church about 8:30 p.m. Friday and attempt to gain access to locked cabinets. It did not appear anything was stolen from the building. Cervo is free on $25,000 unsecured bond set by District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr.

Men wanted: Mac J. Molek, 38, of 2 Young St., Monongahela, and Daniel Mark Trenk, 45, of Washington Township, Fayette County, are charged by city police with theft, receiving stolen property, trespassing and conspiracy, court records show. Police accuse them of stealing aluminum cans with a scrap value of about $150 from Trenk’s brother, George Trenk, between Feb. 27 and March 4. The cans were stored on a patio in the 300 block of Ridge Avenue. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso released Molek and Daniel Trenk Friday on unsecured bonds.

Couple charged: Bartley Diggs, 44, and his wife, Kimberly L. Diggs, 54, both of 69 Tudor Drive, Rostraver Township, are charged by city police with conspiracy and receiving stolen property. Police accuse them of selling tools reported stolen Jan. 19 from Jonathan Baker of Shawnee Avenue to a pawn shop in Charleroi. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges Thursday by summons.

MT. PLEASANT

Assault arrest: Gabrielle Urbany, 64, of 3460 Henderson Road, Hickory, was arrested Sunday by Mt. Pleasant police on charges of simple assault and harassment after she allegedly struck her husband during a confrontation at their home. She was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and released from Washington County jail on $15,000 bond.

NORTH BETHLEHEM

Driver to be charged: An Indianapolis, Ind., man will be charged by state police with criminal mischief after he allegedly damaged a pump at the BP station, Route 519, North Bethlehem, Friday. Police said he drove off with the nozzle still in his vehicle. He then got out, removed it and drove off, fleeing on Interstate 70, police said.

ROSTRAVER

Woman charged: Alexis Taylor Blanco, 29, of 310 Mathews Road, Rostraver Township, is charged by township police with hindering apprehension over allegations she denied Kristopher Cerniga was inside her residence when officers went there to arrest him on a warrant about 12:40 p.m. Feb. 28, court records show. Officers allegedly found Cerniga hiding in a closet that day. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charge Thursday in a summons.

SOUTH STRABANE

Trailer entered: South Strabane police said a hasp was cut on a trailer owned by Johnson Remodeling of Washington while the trailer was parked in the park ‘n’ ride lot on East Beau Street at Lakeview Drive over the weekend. Stolen from the trailer were tools including an impact gun, circular saws, grinder, diamond blades, hammer drills and generator.

WASHINGTON

Assault arrest: Colvess C. Robinson, 41, of 795 Fayette St., was arrested by Washington police Sunday after he allegedly assaulted a 32-year-old woman at her West Chestnut Street residence. Police said he allegedly swung a bag containing a glass Mason jar, hitting the woman in the head. He was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and released on $25,000 unsecured bond.

Medication stolen: Wallis Hollingsworth told Washington police Sunday his prescription medication was stolen from his Hart Avenue home.

Credit card used: Cynthia Orndoff of Claysville told Washington police Friday her credit card was used to make $1,032.97 in purchases. She believes the card was stolen when she was at a rehabilitation center in Washington.
