CANONSBURG
Foot chase: Nathaniel Sele, 22, of 143 W. College St., Canonsburg, was taken into custody early Tuesday on a parole violation after he allegedly ran from Canonsburg police during a traffic stop in the 100 block of Murdock Street. He was found by police with assistance from the North Strabane Township K-9. Sele, who was placed in Washington County jail on the violation, will be charged by Canonsburg police with fleeing or attempting to elude police, unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and traffic violations.
CANTON
Drug charges: Toby Glenn Fonner, 47, of 381 ½ Weirich Ave., Canton, was charged last week by state police with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and disorderly conduct after he allegedly was found with the suspected drug Jan. 3. Troopers said they made the discovery when they were called to his house to assist on an ambulance call. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Harassment alleged: Ashley Weister, 24, of 152 Jollick Manor, Washington, was charged last week by state police with harassment after she allegedly made 92 telephone calls and sent numerous text messages to a man at his home on Beacon Avenue, Canton, during an eight-hour period in March. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
CECIL
Firearms charge: James H. Pressley III, 32, of 3043 Jefferson Ave., Washington, was arrested Monday night by Cecil police on a charge of carrying a firearm without a license after a traffic stop near Routes 980 and 50 for an equipment violation. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and released from Washington County jail after posting $5,000 bond.
CHARLEROI
Warrant arrest: Sayvon Ronnell Carter, 21, of 328 Washington Ave., Charleroi, was arrested Monday on a warrant obtained by Charleroi Regional police charging him with simple assault, theft and harassment. Carter is accused of jumping a 21-year-old Charleroi man and taking the man’s cellphone March 8 in the 600 block of Third Street. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
CHARTIERS
Charged in crash: Kenneth A. Plute, 41, of 224 980 Road, McDonald, was charged last week by Chartiers police stemming from a one-vehicle, hit-and-run crash March 4 in the 700 block of North Main Street. Police said he hit an embankment and utility pole before fleeing. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of a crash. Police said his blood-alcohol content was more than three times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
DONORA
Man jailed: Kevin Linnel Harris, 32, of 769 McKean Ave., Donora, is charged by borough police with trespassing over allegations he entered an off-limits room in his apartment building where expensive items are stored about noon Friday, court records show. Harris was placed in Washington County jail on $35,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
MONESSEN
Warrant signed: Brett Toman, 47, of 517 Callie Court, West Newton, is charged by city police with fleeing from an officer, driving with a suspended license involving driving under the influence and several traffic violations, court records show. Police accuse Toman of leading an officer on a vehicle pursuit on several city streets during an attempted traffic stop about 8 p.m. Saturday, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso signed a warrant Tuesday for Toman’s arrest.
MONONGAHELA
Pair charged: Amy Renee Murray, 36, and Thomas Murray II, 41, both of Farmington, are each charged by city police with deceptive business practices and theft, court records show. Police accuse the Murrays of accepting $15,500 in checks issued in September and January for repairs to property in the 1100 block of Lincoln Street and never performing the work. The victim is over 60 years old. District Judge Curtis Thompson issued the charges in summons Monday.
NORTH STRABANE
Fugitive caught: Shyhiem Dewayne James, 19, of 208 W. College St., Canonsburg, was charged as a fugitive from justice after North Strabane police found him walking early Saturday on Route 19 near Zeman Drive. James, who allegedly gave police a false name, was determined to be wanted by Pittsburgh police on charges including robbery and robbery of a motor vehicle stemming from a January incident. He was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and placed in Washington County jail on $75,000 bond. He was released Monday to Pittsburgh police to face their charges.
PETERS
DUI arrest: Daniel O. Graham III, 36, who has no known address, was charged early Tuesday by Peters police with driving under the influence of alcohol after a woman who had been reported missing earlier from Orchard Drive reportedly was found with him in his vehicle. Police said they were checking the area and found the two in Graham’s vehicle, parked in a lot off Abington Drive. Police said Graham was intoxicated. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
WASHINGTON
Firearms violation: Michael G. Jackson Jr., 18, of 103 W. Walnut St., Washington, was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of carrying a firearm without a license and flight to avoid apprehension. Jackson allegedly dropped a gun as he ran from Washington police March 9 as they tried to take him into custody on a juvenile probation warrant. Police said he ran into his home. Police retraced his steps in the snow and reportedly found a .22-caliber handgun. Jackson was placed in Washington County jail on $20,000 bond.
Harassment alleged: Faith Lohr of Washington told Washington police Monday afternoon she was walking near Tyler and Allison avenues when her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend threw a drink at her from a vehicle and yelled obscenities. She said the vehicle turned around, and a second attempt was made to throw a drink. Police plan to charge a 21-year-old woman with harassment.
Check, debit card stolen: James Little of 88 E. Maiden St. told Washington police Monday one of his checks was stolen and cashed for $957. His debit card also was used at several locations to withdraw money from his account.
Teen missing: Samuel B. Boucher IV, 15, of 440 Maple Ave., has been reported missing to Washington police. His mother last talked to him Monday night. He is white, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighs 210 pounds and has blond hair and hazel eyes.
WEST BETHLEHEM
Couple arrested: Kristen Morris, 47, and Scott R. Morris, 44, both of 1074 Barr Run Road, West Bethlehem, were arrested Thursday night by state police on charges of simple assault and harassment. She is accused of punching him. He is accused of grabbing her by the face and slamming her against a wall. Both were arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and released from Washington County jail on $15,000 percentage bonds.
