Simple assault charge: Daniel Wayne Ealy Jr., 32, of 356 High St., Waynesburg, was charged with simple assault and harassment after state police were called to WHS-Greene hospital, where Veronica Paige Farrar told police her fiance, Ealy, slapped her in the face Monday at 135 Wayne Village in Franklin Township. Ealy also allegedly wrestled her to the ground and headbutted her twice, police said. She was able to get away and was taken to the hospital by a family member, according to court documents.
MONONGAHELA
Vehicle hit by BB gun: State police are investigating a vehicle shot with a BB gun on Hartley Road near Robena Road in Monongahela Township March 18. A motorist was driving south on Hartley Road and as she passed a home, a shot was fired at a no trespassing sign on a tree. The pellet hit the vehicle instead, leaving a dent.

Simple assault charge: Travis Alan Barlow, 39, of 52 W. Greene St., Waynesburg, was charged with unlawful restraint, attempted simple assault and harassment after borough police said they were called to Barlow’s home Monday for a report a woman had been struck in the face and choked. Barlow’s fiancee, Amanda Mitchell, told police the two were arguing when Barlow pushed her on the bed and hit her in the face and choked her. Barlow was not home at the time, but returned about an hour later. Police arrested him when he returned home.
