BURGETTSTOWN

Welfare fraud charge: Darcie M. Williams-Musick, 32, of 8 Martha St., Slovan, was charged Monday by an agent with the Office of Pennsylvania Inspector General with welfare fraud after she allegedly fraudulently obtained food stamps. Her husband was reportedly employed and receiving wages from September 2016 through March 2017, and Williams-Musick allegedly failed to report her husband’s income on an application. She illegally received $1,128 in assistance between October and December 2016, according to court documents filed at the office of District Judge Gary Havelka. The charge was sent by summons from his office.

CALIFORNIA

Disorderly charge: Bradley Edwin Neale, 35, of Brownsville, will be charged with disorderly conduct by California police stemming from a Feb. 4 incident at Rye’s Bar, Old National Pike. He allegedly caused a disturbance and was ejected from the bar, then tried to get back into the bar. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.

School attendance charge: Jeffrey Lenzi and Felicia Lowery, both of Coal Center, were charged by California police with violating the compulsory school attendance law. Lenzi and Lowery are parents of two children at California High School. The charges were sent by summons Tuesday from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.

SOUTH STRABANE

Driver identified: State police have identified the driver of the rig that rolled over early Tuesday on the flyover ramp from Interstate 79 northbound to Interstate 70 westbound, South Strabane. Samuel Jones-Brown, 36, of Woodridge, N.Y., was driving north in the left lane around a curve when the rig overturned, hit the concrete barrier and slid 300 feet. He was not injured. Jones-Brown will be cited for failure to stay in his lane.

Falsification charges: Christopher Alan Stone, 28, of Route 21 Mobile Home Park, Carmichaels, was charged last week by South Strabane police with providing false information for firearm ownership, unsworn falsification to authorities and making a false statement. Stone reportedly tried to buy a 9 mm handgun from Field and Stream, Old Mill Boulevard, in July 2016. He indicated on the form that he did not have a felony conviction, but a check of his arrest history showed he pleaded guilty to robbery in 2008, police stated in court documents. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

False identification charge: Katelyn Dyson, 23, of Carnegie, was charged last week by South Strabane police with false identification to police after she allegedly gave police a different name when they responded March 21 to a report of a woman screaming at Motel 6, 1283 Motel 6 Drive. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

WASHINGTON

Assault alleged: James Thomas Wehrman, 36, was allegedly assaulted by his roommate during a confrontation Tuesday night at their West Chestnut Street home. Washington police said Wehrman reportedly intervened when a 29-year-old man got into an argument with his girlfriend. Wehrman refused treatment. The 29-year-old was told by police that he will be charged by summons with simple assault.

Two face charges: John T. Hitzges, 20, of 850 Allison Ave., Washington, and Benjamin Dyson, 21, of 725 Broad St., Washington, will be charged by Washington police with disorderly conduct after they reportedly got into an altercation in the parking lot of Washington High School, 201 Allison Ave., Tuesday night. A Washington County adult probation officer broke up the fight, police said. Both men refused treatment. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
