Carnegie man is charged in an alleged case of road rage
An Allegheny County man is facing charges he threatened another motorist with a loaded semi-automatic handgun during an alleged road rage case Saturday on Interstate 79 in Washington County.
State police charged Robert Anthony Seaton, 35, of Carnegie with possessing a firearm with an altered manufacturer’s number, possession of a firearm without a license, making terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct after finding his vehicle parked in Washington, court records show.
The alleged victim told police Seaton tried to force his vehicle off the road several times near Racetrack Road in South Strabane Township.
Seaton also is accused of pointing the weapon several times at the alleged victim, who managed to take Seaton’s photo and jot down his vehicle’s license plate information about 11:15 a.m., police stated in the affidavit.
Police obtained a warrant to search 219 Locust Ave., where they found Seaton’s vehicle. A gun was found just inside the front door to the residence, police claimed in court records.
Seaton is free on $75,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
