CALIFORNIA
Trespass, disorderly charges: Jamara Jacobs, 21, of Homestead, was charged Tuesday by California police with criminal trepass and disorderly conduct after several incidents last month at Vulcan Village. She is accused of ignoring notification from California University of Pennsylvania that she is not permitted at the housing complex. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
Disorderly house charges: California police charged several people with violating the borough disorderly house ordinance last month. Shawn Rutherford, 19, and Mark Wilson, 19, both of Pittsburgh, are charged in an April 26 incident at Vulcan Village. Samayah Winston, 28, of Wyncote, is also charged in an April 26 incident at 134 Second St. Ian Dunmyer, 21, of Cresson; Jerome Landry, 21, of Duncansville; and Seth Richards, 20, of Beaver Falls, are charged in an April 12 incident at 732 Vulcan Village. Daniel Stubbs, 21, of Holidaysburg, is charged with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief for allegedly damaging an exit sign and a vehicle parked in the lot during the same incident.
CENTERVILLE
Strangulation, assault charges: Johnny Onisko, 42, 69 Main St., Brownsville, was arrested Wednesday by Centerville police on charges of strangulation, simple assault and harassment for allegedly choking his girlfriend and shoving her into a piano during a confrontation at her home on Low Hill Road. He was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and released after posting $25,000 bond.
NORTH BETHLEHEM
Two injured: Two people were injured, one seriously, in a two-vehicle crash at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Routes 40 and 519, state police said. A car driven by Don McDonald, 28, of Brownsville, was traveling west on Route 40 when it struck a trailer being pulled by a pickup truck, driven by Ryan McDaniel, 23, of Amity, which was trying turn onto Route 519. McDonald was taken to Washington Hospital while a passenger, Sabrina Fishburn, 26, of Grindstone, was flown by helicopter to UPMC Mery hospital. McDaniel was not hurt.
SOUTH STRABANE
Theft, drug arrest: Jaime Ellen Roberts, 41, of Newark, Ohio, was arrested Wednesday by South Strabane police on charges of retail theft and possession of methadone, marijuana and paraphernalia after she allegedly stole a tool and LED light from Home Depot, 255 Murtland Ave.. She was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond.
WASHINGTON
Drug, false identification charges: Jonathan Jerome Benjamin, 20, who Washington police said is homeless, was arrested Wednesday night in Jollick Manor on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin, false identification to police and public drunkenness. Police were called to the 100 block of Jollick Manor for a report of people in a parking lot causing a disturbance. Police said he had difficulty standing. When they checked him, they found 23 stamp bags of suspected heroin and a ledger. He also gave police a false name. He was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis, who denied bond because he is homeless. Online court records also show Benjamin is wanted on a warrant on a charge of receiving stolen property filed by Washington & Jefferson College police for a March 11 incident.
Boyfriend arrested: Abdul-Rabb Islam Ibbin, 19, of McKeesport, was arrested early Thursday by Washington & Jefferson College police on chargers of simple assault, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and harassment. He is accused of grabbing his girlfriend by the hair and throwing her to the floor in a room at 207 E. Beau St., on the college campus. She also cut her hand when hen pulled a pair of scissors from her that she grabbed to defend herself. He was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and placed in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond.
