Professor will discuss hydrology and longwall mining

Dr. Daniel Bain, assistant professor in the geology and environmental science department of the University of Pittsburgh, will discuss his research in a program on  hydrologic balance and longwall mining.

The presentation, hosted by the Upper Wheeling Creek Watershed Association, will begin at 10 a.m. May 16,at the Washington Golf Club, Country Club Road, Washington.

Coffee and pastries will be available at 9 a.m. This program may be of interest to agricultural or woodland owners in areas that have been or will be mined using the longwall method.
