CALIFORNIA
Disorderly house charges: California police charged four people with violating the borough’s disorderly house ordinance, stemming from three incidents earlier this month. Charged were Ricardo Camacho, 22, of Parkersburg; Tyler Robert Eritzz, 21, of Oakdale; John Robert Beattie Jr., 24, of Rice’s Landing; and Dante Sarra, 23, of Waynesburg.
CECIL
Assault arrest: James Dean Vanderlee, 35, of 1105 Beech St., Muse, was arrested Wednesday night by Cecil police on charges of simple assault and harassment after he allegedly grabbed his wife by the neck and shoved her against a door during a confrontation at their home. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
HOUSTON
Couple arrested: Glenn William Holden, 28, and Krista Jo Paulik Holden, 26, both of 221 E. McNutt St., Houston, were arrested Wednesday night by state police on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment after they reportedly threatened each other during a dispute at their home. Glenn Holden allegedly threatened Krista Holden with a screwdriver, and she allegedly got a butcher knife and stabbed the bed near where he was lying. Both were arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bonds.
NEW EAGLE
Man jailed: David Lewis Jennion Jr., 20, of 108 Main St., New Eagle, is charged by Monongahela police with flight to avoid apprehension over allegations he ran from an officer who went to his residence to take him into custody on a bench warrant at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, court records show. He is in Washington County jail on the warrant. His mother, Bethann Jennion, 49, of the same address, is charged by summons with obstruction and hindering apprehension over allegations she interfered with her son’s arrest.
SOUTH STRABANE
Escape, hindering charges: Dennis Wayne Devenney Jr., 39, of Washington, was arraigned Thursday before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of hindering apprehension, escape, obstructing a highway and driving under suspension filed by South Strabane police in connection with an April 30 incident. Police were initially called to Giant Eagle, Strabane Square, for a report of a man soliciting money. He left before police arrived, but the officer got a description of his vehicle and stopped it on Berry Road. Devenney allegedly got out of his vehicle and ran across Berry and Interstate 70 before being taken into custody in the lot of Washington Mall. He was placed in Washington County jail on a bench warrant. Weller set a $10,000 bond on the new charges.
False identification charge: Corey J. Talley Jr., 40, of 39 N. Main St., Washington, was arraigned Thursday before District Judge Jay Weller on a charge of false identification to police during a March 3 traffic stop on Trinity Point Drive. Talley is in Washington County jail on a bench warrant.
Vehicle stolen: Dawn Kirschner of Naser Avenue told South Strabane police Tuesday her son’s green 1999 Jeep Wrangler was stolen from outside their home.
Wallets stolen: Kathy Hughes and Bhavisha Patel, who work at Polo Ralph Lauren at Tanger Outlets, had their wallets stolen Monday. Hughes’ credit card was used to make almost $900 in purchases at Office Max, Strabane Square, and another $400 in purchases at Petsmart, Strabane Square. Patel’s card was used to make $1,200 in purchases at Target, Strabane Square, and $630 in purchases at Giant Eagle, Strabane Square.
WASHINGTON
Shoplifting: Kenneth J. Haskey Jr., 31, of Washington was arraigned Thursday before District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of retail theft in two cases brought by city police. Officers allege Haskey stole two cartons of cigarettes from the Sunoco station at 501 Jefferson Ave. April 7, and another two cartons from Kwik Fill at 705 E. Maiden St. April 21. Redlinger set $5,000 percentage bond in each case. Washington County jail records show Haskey is being held there.
Megan’s Law violation: Dino G. Paul, 58, whose address is not listed in court papers, was arraigned Thursday before District Judge Robert Redlinger on a charge of failing to comply with sex-offender registration requirements filed by city police in July. Paul was previously an inmate at the Washington County jail until a year ago, but allegedly failed to give his new address to state police within three business days of his release as required. Redlinger set $10,000 bond. Washington County jail records show Paul is being held there.
Windshield damaged: Christine Carruthers told Washington police Wednesday the windshield of her vehicle was broken while it was parked outside her Victoria Street home.
