Stolen credit cards: Three women were charged Wednesday with access device fraud, criminal conspiracy and receiving stolen property after state police said they stole a man’s wallet and used his credit cards to buy various items May 1. Police said Larissa Sue Jones, 20, of 545 Green Valley Road, Wind Ridge, stole the wallet from a vehicle parked at a restaurant on Sugar Run Road in Franklin Township. Police said Jones then went with Sarah Jane Fetherman, 19, of 130 S. Oakview Drive, Waynesburg, and Cori Lea Scott, 28, of 622 Parkside Estates, Canonsburg, to the Walmart in Franklin Township and used two stolen credit cards to purchase an electronic tablet, clothes, a gift card, television and video game system totaling nearly $921. Jones also faces a charge of theft.
WAYNESBURG
Simple assault charges: Two Waynesburg residents face simple assault and harassment charges after an altercation Wednesday night in a borough home. Jeffery James Sopich, 34, and Samantha Nicole Boyle, 23, both of 64 S. Washington St., were arrested after Waynesburg police said they responded to their apartment at 9:44 p.m. for a domestic dispute. Boyle told officers she pushed her boyfriend and then he hit her with something resembling a baseball bat, police said. Sopich told police Boyle threatened to hit him with a hand saw and scratched his face during the fight, according to court documents.
