Construction on the Linden Road bridge spanning Little Chartiers Creek in North Strabane Township is scheduled to begin as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.

Construction, with detour in place, is expected to begin during the week of June 11 and be complete in mid-August. However, beginning next week, prep work will be performed with flaggers in place.

During construction, drivers will be directed to follow a detour along Waterdam Road, Route 19 (Washington Road) and Linden Creek Road.

Replacement of this bridge will allow PennDOT to remove it from Washington County’s structurally deficient bridge list.

In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may change.
