Motorcyclist flown to hospital in critical condition after Cumberland Township crash

A motorcyclist was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital in critical condition after a crash Monday.
Crews were called to a motorcycle and car crash just outside Michaels Auto in Cumberland Township around 4:50 p.m.
Witnesses told Cumberland Township police the motorcyclist and car were both headed eastbound on Route 21 and the motorcyclist was passing several vehicles just before the crash. The red sedan was attempting to turn left onto Ceylon Road when the two collided. Additional details about how the crash occurred were not immediately available. Witnesses also told police the driver of the motorcycle became airborne and flew several feet from the point of impact. Two witnesses had dash cam footage, and police will be looking at those as the investigation continues.
Firefighters on scene said the driver of the motorcycle, whose name was not immediately released, was flown to Ruby in critical condition and was in and out of consciousness. The name of the driver of the other vehicle involved was not immediately released, and the condition of the driver was unclear.
