WHITELEY

Endangerment, fleeing charges: Roger Matthew Eddy, 31, of 26 Cumberland Village, Carmichaels, was charged with reckless endangerment, fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, receiving stolen property, marijuana possession and 11 summary driving violations after allegedly fleeing from a traffic stop at 7 p.m. Sunday. State police, patrolling Interstate 79 northbound near mile marker 6, ran a plate entered as stolen from Waynesburg. Police said the driver, later identified as Eddy, pulled over, then sped away. State police said they chased Eddy, reaching speeds of 100 mph. Eddy, according to the criminal complaint, exited at the Waynesburg exit and sped through traffic in the Route 21 intersection. Police said he continued to speed and pass other vehicles. State police lost sight of the vehicle, but it was later found at a state gamelands site at 218 Temple Ridge Road. A small child was in the vehicle, and a small bag of suspected marijuana was in the center console, according to the court document.
