Harassment charge: Paul Andrew Hewitt, 54, of 84 Pershing Blvd., Nemacolin, faces a harassment charge after Cumberland Township police said he repeatedly contacting a friend in the middle of the night. Hewitt called Sharon Chun 18 times between 12 a.m. and 2 a.m. May 17, police said.

WAYNESBURG

Theft alleged: Morgan Elias Hunt, 22, of 109 Sawmill Road, Waynesburg, was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief Tuesday after an alleged break-in in April. Waynesburg Borough police said they investigated the April 30 incident after Michael Lewis reported his 52 W. Greene St. apartment had been broken into and that a can with $40 in change and a pack of cigarettes was taken. A witness told police they saw a man matching Hunt’s description in the area earlier in the day.
