BELLE VERNON

Liquor law violations alleged: The operator of Dark Horse Saloon, 132 Main St., was cited Wednesday by the state Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for furnishing alcohol to a minor March 12, and permitting smoking and failing to post no-smoking signs April 17.

CHARLEROI

Assault arrest: Wesley David Roberts, 19, of 420 Oakland Ave., Charleroi, was arrested Wednesday afternoon by Charleroi Regional police after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend and damaged some of her belongings during a confrontation at their home. He was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and placed in Washington County jail on $20,000 bond.

NORTH FRANKLIN

Warrant obtained: North Franklin police obtained an arrest warrant for Crystal Rae Valperga, 32, of 360 Moon Road, Washington, on a felony charge of retail theft. She is accused of stealing merchandise and clothing from Bon Ton, Washington Crown Center, May 17.

WASHINGTON

False identification: Kristen Furia, 43, no address available, was arraigned Thursday by District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of giving false identification to law enforcement and public drunkenness filed by Washington police after she allegedly fell to the ground in the 300 block of East Maiden Street April 21. Police said Furia appeared to be under the influence. She allegedly gave police the wrong name and birth date, and they later discovered an arrest warrant for her from Fayette County related to drug charges. She was placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Drug charges: Brittani Ann Cottrell, 30, of Claysville, was arraigned Thursday by District Judge Robert Redlinger on drug charges filed by the Washington County Drug Task Force stemming from a Jan. 12 raid of an apartment at 221 N. Main St. by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force. Police said she was found with more than 30 stamp bags of suspected heroin, a baggie of crack, several cellphones and more than $800. Police found data on the cellphones indicating they were used in drug distribution, court documents stated. Cottrell is charged with drug possession, possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communications facility. She was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
