A Chartiers Township couple charged in connection with two recent cases of animal hoarding entered guilty pleas to cruelty this week in Washington County Court.

Marci Jo Klinzing, 52, and William E. Moore, 69, each had charges filed against them by the Washington County humane officer in May 2017 and June 2018.

They appeared Wednesday before Judge Valarie Costanzo, who ordered that they be “forever prohibited from possessing an animal.” She is also requiring them to undergo mental health evaluations.

The judge placed them on the Intermediate Punishment Program to be supervised by Washington County Adult Probation personnel for a total of three years.

Washington County Humane Officer Glen Thomson alleged Klinzing and Moore failed to provide food, water and veterinary care to the animals removed from their house at 8 Crossroads Road. It has since been demolished.

Judge Michael Lucas, in an earlier case, previously imposed a 24-month ban on them.
