A West Virginia woman was arrested Thursday night on a charge of receiving stolen property after police say she was found in the parking lot of a Racetrack Road hotel with a vehicle reported stolen by her daughter.

Misty Jean Swiger, 38, of Rosemont Taylor, W.Va., was found about 8:45 p.m. inside the vehicle in the lot at the Hyatt Hotel, 212 Racetrack Road.

Police were called to the hotel for a report of a suspicious woman sitting in a Chevrolet Sonic.

When police talked with hotel management, they learned the woman, later identified as Swiger, initially had been found sleeping in the lounge area. When the staff checked on her, she reportedly told them that her father, “Donald Trump,” was supposed to meet her. She also told them that her daughter was staying in a room.

Swiger reportedly went to the third floor and began knocking on a door. She was then asked to leave the hotel because she was not a registered guest. Hotel staff said she went out and sat in the car but would not leave.

When police checked the vehicle, they learned that it had been reported stolen earlier in the day to South Fayette Township police.

When she was taken to Washington County jail to await arraignment, Swiger allegedly was found with methadone in her possession.

Swiger was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in jail on $10,000 bond. She is scheduled for a Nov. 13 preliminary hearing before District Judge Jay Weller.
