Routine maintenance at jail coincides with lockdown

A change in electrical panels during a lockdown at the Washington County jail Thursday afternoon caused some prisoners to be late for court appearances.

The periodic routine maintenance took only about 20 minutes, said County Commissioner Larry Maggi, chairman of Washington County Prison Board. No one is permitted to leave the jail during a lockdown.
