Burglary: Numerous tools, including a Stihl chainsaw, Lincoln welder and Stihl chop saw were stolen from a storage trailer at 403 Rush Run Road between Aug. 31 and Sept. 29, state police said. The property is owned by Christopher M. Watson of Washington.

FRANKLIN

Theft charges: Michael Anthony Braun, 35, of 108D North Market St., Carmichaels, and Steven Scott Williams II, 34, of 1012 Toms Run Road, Holbrook, were each charged by state police with theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing a variety of tools from a construction site in the 400 block of Murtha Drive. Police said the tools were noticed missing Friday morning and were likely stolen overnight. Police said they initiated a traffic stop on Braun just after 8 a.m. Friday and found the tools in his vehicle, in which Williams was a passenger. Williams also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly having hypodermic needles and empty stamp bags. Additionally, Williams was charged in another case with possession of drug paraphernalia, retail theft and public drunkenness after he allegedly tried to steal a cellphone from Walmart Oct. 18. Police said, when they responded to the store, they found a hypodermic needle in his pocket, and he allegedly was under the influence of Xanax.
