CANONSBURG

One injured: Bryan S. Jordan, 49, of McKeesport, was injured Thursday afternoon when his vehicle struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Matthew R. Liberatore, 17, of Village Drive, Canonsburg, on First Street near Hooks Lane. Liberatore told Canonsburg police he had slowed for another vehicle making a turn when his vehicle was hit from behind. Jordan was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment of a hand injury.

Fraudulent account: Tara Smith of Blaine Avenue told Canonsburg police Thursday a fraudulent account was opened in her name at Sprint. Charges of $2,115 were made to the account.

Window broken: Robert Nestor of Adams Avenue told Canonsburg police Thursday a garage window was broken by juveniles.

CECIL

Assault arrest: Edward Morton, 40, of 1400 Main St., Cecil, was arrested Monday morning by Cecil police on charges of simple assault and harassment after he allegedly assaulted a woman at his apartment. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and released.

CHARTIERS

Theft, fraud charges: Joshua David Bails, 25, of 230 Lyons St., Houston, was arrested Monday on a warrant obtained by Chartiers police charging him with access device fraud, theft and receiving stolen property. He is accused of making unauthorized purchases of $5,774 on his grandmother’s credit card in March and April. She told police she gave him the card to make one purchase of food and gasoline. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

MONESSEN

Theft alleged: Charles McCabe, 28, of 745 Hoover St., Monessen, is charged by city police with theft over allegations he stole $400, a tattoo gun and gaming equipment from Breanna Lang Nov. 6 while she was away from her Park Manor Road residence, court records show. Senior District Judge Jesse J. Cramer signed a warrant last week for McCabe’s arrest.

SOUTH STRABANE

Wallet stolen: Emily Lawson of Washington told South Strabane police Friday she mistakenly left her wallet in a shopping cart at Walmart, Trinity Point. When she went back for it a few minutes later, it was gone. Credit cards inside the wallet were later used to make purchases at two Washington area businesses.

Money stolen: South Strabane police were called Monday to Transitions, 90 Humbert Lane, after money was stolen from the room of one of the residents.

iPads stolen: An employee of Walmart, Trinity Point, told South Strabane police Thursday 12 to 24 iPads were stolen from a storage area by two black men wearing dark clothing. One had a hood pulled over his head and the other wore a cap. They fled in a white car that was parked on the side of the store.

WASHINGTON

Truck stolen: Michael Zilla, 50 Woodland Ave., told Washington police Monday his silver, 2004 Ford F-150 pickup truck was stolen from outside his residence over the weekend.

Medication stolen: Kim Beatty, 430 W. Chestnut St., told Washington police Thursday two bottles of prescription medication were stolen from her apartment.

Driver charged: Karen Jean Minor, 55, of 1040 Allison Ave., Washington, was charged by Washington police with accident with serious injury and failure to stop and render aid after she allegedly struck an 89-year-old woman in the parking lot of Dairy Queen on East Wylie Avenue. Police said Minor had been backing out of a parking space when she allegedly struck Evelyn Brandenburg, 89, of Avella. Police said Minor helped Brandenburg into a car driven by her son and left the scene. Brandenburg was treated at Washington Hospital for injuries to her legs, back, hands and elbow.

Theft charge: Gloria Pabst, 38, of 58 Sumner Ave., Washington, was charged by Washington police with theft for allegedly stealing more than $300 from a wallet Nov. 3. Police said Pabst was working at the Exxon gas station in the 300 block of Ridge Avenue when a woman dropped her wallet at the store. Police said Pabst allegedly was seen on surveillance video taking $310 from the wallet. 

Drug charges: Theresa Michele Trump, 18, of 1020 Oakridge Road, Waynesburg, was charged by state police with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct following a traffic stop Sunday night on Canton Avenue. Police said Trump, a passenger in the vehicle that was stopped, had a small bag of marijuana in her purse. 

Assault charge: Justin Christopher Barfield, 35, of 1025 Addison St., Washington, was charged by Washington police with simple assault and harassment for allegedly fighting outside his residence about 6:20 p.m. Oct. 13. Barfield allegedly punched another man several times in the face, causing injuries that were treated at Washington Hospital. 

Marijuana charge: William Dale Reusch, 23, of 750 Addison St., Washington, was charged by state police with possession of a small amount of marijuana, disorderly conduct and a traffic citation following a traffic stop just outside his residence Nov. 3. Police said they could smell marijuana in the vehicle, and found Reusch to be in possession of it.
