CALIFORNIA
Threats alleged: Princess Reba Brown, 19, of California, was charged Tuesday by California police with terroristic threats and disorderly conduct after she allegedly threatened other residents of her apartment at Vulcan Village Nov. 6. Police were called for a report of an argument about food that reportedly had been stolen from the refrigerator. During the investigation, police learned threats allegedly had been made by Brown, who reportedly claimed she was going to have her people from Philadelphia come and harm her roommates. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
CANONSBURG
Package stolen: Jolene Anderson of Giffin Avenue told Canonsburg police Thursday a package that had been delivered to her home was stolen.
CANTON
Pedestrian hit: Maurice Mitchell, 34, of Washington, was seriously injured early Thursday when he was struck by a vehicle driven by Richard Insana, 62, of Washington. State police said Mitchell was wearing dark clothing and walking down the middle of Ohio Street in front of Insana’s business, pushing a shopping cart containing two vehicle transmissions and three batteries. He was thrown about 10 feet when he was hit about 6:30 a.m. Mitchell was taken to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment. Canton firefighters assisted at the scene.
SOUTH STRABANE
Driver injured: James Folkens, 71, of Rankin Road, Washington, was injured Monday morning when he was driving west on East Beau Street near Lakeview Drive. His vehicle crossed several lanes of traffic before hitting a curb at the Park ‘n Ride. He was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.
WASHINGTON
Faces charges: Danielle Leigh Lloyd, 29, of 31 N. Main St., Washington, will be charged by Washington police with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia after the items allegedly were found in her purse during a traffic stop Wednesday in the 700 block of West Chestnut Street.
Accounts opened: Courtney Hilty of Beech Street told Washington police Wednesday two credit card accounts were opened in her name, and the cards were sent to an address in Kansas City, Mo. Police said $12,000 in charges were made to the accounts.
Items stolen: Donald Adams of West Walnut Street told Washington police Wednesday two cameras, an AT&T tablet and a gold chain were stolen from his residence.
Fraudulent withdrawals: Joseph C. Husk of Hayes Avenue told Washington police Wednesday three fraudulent withdrawals totaling $462 were made from his accounts after his information was reportedly stolen through the use of a “card skimmer” at a Washington bank.
WEST BETHLEHEM
Copper stolen: State police said 10 plastic bins filled with copper were stolen from an unoccupied house on Rosewood Avenue, West Bethlehem, between Oct. 28 and Thursday. The thief reportedly broke a side window to enter the building. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-223-5200.
