2000 turkeys concluding
Thanks to the hundreds of individuals, businesses and organizations who donated to 2000 Turkeys, Washington County’s families in need celebrated Thanksgiving dinner this year.
During the 2018 campaign, 2000 Turkeys raised approximately $116,500 for the Greater Washington County Food Bank to provide Thanksgiving meals for food-insecure families.
From the Trinity North Elementary School’s competition among grade levels and the collection spearheaded by the Bentworth Middle School Student Council to the dozens of donations made in memory of loved ones, the generosity shown toward those less fortunate was inspiring and moving, and we thank you for caring for your neighbor.
