A number of criminal defendants pleaded guilty and were sentenced recently by Greene County Judge Lou Dayich.

Chloe Ellen Jones, 22, of 533 Green Valley Road, Wind Ridge; offenses-escape, false identification to law enforcement and three traffic summary violations; following a traffic stop March 27 on state Route 188 in Jefferson Township, she gave her sister’s name to police instead of her own, then ran from them; sentence-152 days to 23 months in jail with credit for 146 days served, one year of probation, $262 in fines and 40 hours of community service. In a second case, she pleaded guilty to flight to avoid apprehension, for fleeing police after her probation officer saw her July 30 in a Rite Aid in Franklin Township. She was given an additional $200 fine and 20 hours of community service.

Larissa Sue Jones, 20, of 533 Green Valley Road, Wind Ridge; offenses-in three different cases she plead to access device fraud, criminal conspiracy, receiving stolen property, theft, simple assault and flight to avoid apprehension; on May 1, she and co-defendants stole a wallet from a car and used credit cards to make purchases at Walmart; on May 18, Waynesburg police found her hiding from them in a basement dryer; after she had been in jail, she was being taken from the prison to the hospital for a medical issue, when she punched two corrections officers; sentence-83 days in jail with credit for time served, four years of County Intermediate Punishment, $586 restitution to the card owner and 75 hours of community service.

Samuel Kevin Black, 57, of 109 Bodkin Road, Uniontown; offenses-driving under the influence; in June 2014, Black was stopped on Richhill Street in Waynesburg and arrested for DUI; sentence-4 days to 6 months in jail and a $300 fine.

Billie Jo Greenwood, 35, of 125 Valley Farm Drive, Waynesburg; offenses-charged with retail theft in two separate cases, and one criminal conspiracy charge was dismissed; in September, she stole nearly $60 worth of merchandise from the BFS store on Locust Avenue in Mt. Morris; sentence-two years of probation, 60 hours of community service.

Steven Michael Jenkins, 42, of 205 Bowlby St., Waynesburg; offenses-false identification to law enforcement and two traffic summary violations; on March 15, he was stopped on Washington Street in Jefferson Borough, and he gave police the wrong name; sentence-4 days to 6 months in jail with credit for time served, one year of probation, $1,300 in fines, and 90 hours of community service.

Christopher Warren Davis, 33, of 200 E. Franklin St., Waynesburg; offenses-pleaded “no contest” to unauthorized use of a vehicle, fleeing an officer and two traffic summary violations, one theft charge was dismissed; on April 12, he took a truck without permission and crashed it on Route 21 in Cumberland Township; sentence-3 to 23 ½ months in jail with credit for 12 days served, restitution of $1,712 to the truck owner, $400 in fines, and 60 hours of community service.

Travis Alan Barlow, 40, of 52 W. Greene St., Waynesburg; offenses-theft, criminal conspiracy, theft of services and criminal mischief; on Aug. 1, he cut and stole 200 feet of electric cable from Jay D. Enterprises in Waynesburg; sentence, with an agreement to testify against a co-defendant-three months to 23 ½ months in jail with credit for time served, $5,345 in restitution to Jay D. Enterprises.

Brett D. Davis, 30, of 514 E. George St., Carmichaels; offenses-DUI and two traffic summary violations; on Nov. 3, 2017, he was arrested in the driveway of his home following a traffic stop; his blood alcohol content was 0.113; sentence-two days to six months in jail, $750 in fines and 30 hours of community service.

Juanita Marie Martin, 41, of 196 Kennel Road, Waynesburg; offenses-pleaded guilty to DUI and “no contest” to a traffic violation, two counts of endangering the welfare of another person were dismissed; on June 7, she was stopped at North Maiden and College streets in Waynesburg; her blood alcohol content was 0.117; sentence-to run consecutive to her current incarceration on another case, one to six months in jail, $778 in fines, and 40 hours of community service.
