Donora man charged with assaulting woman three times
MONESSEN – A Donora man is wanted on charges he assaulted a woman three times and dragged her with his car at one point.
Monessen police filed charges Thursday against Algin Youngblood, 42, accusing him of first assaulting Tanieishia Thompson on Friday at her residence in the 600 block of 14th Street, court records show.
Thompson told police Youngblood later drove her to a field near a pizza shop in Charleroi, where he allegedly said “that since there was no one around, that he was going to beat her up and no one would find out,” an officer noted in the affidavit.
The woman said she was assaulted in the car, and as she tried to get out, Youngblood “drove off, dragging her down the road,” the record states.
She told police Youngblood showed up again at her house about 2:30 a.m. Saturday and punched her in the face on her front porch before stealing her cellphone, valued at $599.
Police said Thompson’s right cheek and jaw were swollen to the point the injuries affected her speech.
Youngblood is facing charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment, theft and receiving stolen property.
A senior district judge in Monessen signed a warrant Thursday for Youngblood’s arrest.
